The Official Belichick Post Press Conference Thread

BB is a boss

I loved how he fired back at the reporter who brought up spygate. One of these days, someone in the organization needs to set the record straight. As we all know, OTHER TEAMS were doing it too like he said again today.

This is old but another reminder:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...on-spikes-talib-allegations-against-patriots/

The involvement of the Patriots serves only to complicate matters for the league. As legend has it, the Spygate-related information given to the NFL by the Patriots that was destroyed by the league office consisted of evidence of cheating not only by the Patriots but also by multiple other teams in multiple other ways. As the folklore also goes, Patriots coach Bill Belichick vowed to go public with chapter-and-verse detail about cheating throughout the league if the league were to mess with the Patriots again.

To be clear, it’s not known that Belichick delivered to the league office proof of cheating by other teams, but that would help explain the league’s curious decision to quickly destroy the evidence. It’s also not known that Belichick threatened/promised to blow the whistle on league-wide cheating issues, but it would make plenty of sense for any team disciplined for violating the injury-reporting rules to be strongly tempted to point out that other teams routinely do the same things, or worse.

We need to set the record straight once and for all. The league sent the memo to every team because many teams did it. The rule was the location of the camera and NOT VIDEOTAPING by itself. Anyone could videotape from the 80,000 in the crowd like BB said.

It's such a joke

Once again, great job again by BB.

Funny how much faith these writers have in the NFL's judgment after all else that's happened this year.
Yeah, I guarantee if the NFL comes out saying they found no evidence, they'll just talk about how great cheaters the Pats are that they can hide the evidence so well.

Local TV news sports segment just finished. First, it's the first time they didn't lead with deflategate all week (they actually led with the Rockets). Sports reporter though told his story of doing the football pressure test. Took a football, measured the pressure (with a digital gauge) put it in a refrigerator set a 45 degrees for 90 minutes and low and behold, the football lost 2 psi of pressure. He did the test twice and got the same result. Didn't change his mind about the Pats though

Big deal in my book too. I was pretty shocked to hear it come out of people's mouths. Them's fighting words. BB doesn't seem like he suffers fools to well. I think the media stepped on their **** on this one. I for one would have blacklist if I was any player, and it's scorched earth policy to anyone who ever questioned my integrity.

Obviously the media has indicted the entire organization because of Spygate, so I guess that includes Brady. Amazes me people have the gaul to say he would stand there for 30 minutes and lie with dozens of cameras on him.

Would they say that to his face? Are they saying that because they lie habitually and expect others to stoop to that level? Will they say anything to remain on "dah teee veee channull'? Do they have a shred of dignity? (answer is no to all).

Scorched earth policy with people who're willing to just casually suggest that a man who took their petulant questioning with a lot of dignity is lying sounds good to me.

Good stuff here.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/-bill-...--dares-nfl-to-prove-him-wrong-225504102.html

This was straight Original Gangster stuff by Belichick, a full-on punch to the face of the league office he has long despised and believes turns nearly every molehill into a mountain either because of general football incompetence or to drive television ratings.

This was a doubling down on the Patriots Way after a near week of shelling from the public and the media as the NFL let them twist in the wind.

This was a preemptive snarl at investigators swarming his franchise, basically calling it all garbage. It assures he'll get no leniency if proven wrong and he clearly doesn't care about that risk. If they come at him, he promised he's coming back with more about how the league itself is incompetent. New England isn't going quietly here.

Just something to ponder: imagine how pumped up we are after BB press confernce. I can only imagine how much more the players are pumped up right now.

Another benefit .... BB's pre-game super bowl speech is already done. Just re-play to the team this press conference and ....... mission accomplished.

Dipshit Goodell thought he could run roughshod over this organization and restore his credibility. He decided to come in guns blazing to show everyone who the sheriff is and now he's come out looking like bigger fool than when he started because he spent weeks and millions to get an eighth grade science class.

If I was Kraft I'd demand my money back. Go get a Leapfrog and learn this on your own dime next time dumb****.

An underrated gem from today's presser

Reporter: How much time did you spend on the study?

Belichick: “I didn’t log it.”

It comes naturally to him. The man is a BOSS! My favorite BB press conference by far.

It's a pretty damn big deal in my book too. And almost everyone I've heard speak about this are clearly implying if not outright calling both BB and TB liars. I've lost respect for a lot of people (Ted Johnson for example)

Stunning. Didn't know that even former Patriots were saying this.

Pretty damning to their (media's) character. You'd call a former teammate or coach who's probably never done you wrong once a liar? You would do this on TV, not having the dignity to say this to his face, man to man? Would you raise your son to act like this?

I feel like this all started with political BS - calling Obama a liar during the State of the Union, etc. Media suddenly thinks it's okay to call everyone and anyone who is in the spotlight a liar.

All Doyel has to say is he'll wait to see what the NFL says before believing BB. LOL.

He is such a tool. Zero professional credibility.

Hey man, say what you want, but ace and frank got results.
Anybody that can go undercover and be an MLB umpire and Enrico Polazzo simultaneously is a god.

He is getting slammed by tweets. Go ahead and tweet him. I said he should probably check if he is at risk of liable or slander. No accusations just that he should probably check.

Dusted offmy twitter acct i haven't used in three years to respond to that arse hole

Totally agree on pumping the team up with this. Especially TFB, who hardly needs any pumping up.

I was climbing a certain route at a rock wall and I was having a lot of trouble with it. I checked my phone, saw the press conference update (and utterly panicked trying to get the thread to come up…internet sucks at my gym) and after I got the gist of it, I about ran up that same route. I think I even skipped back over to the wall. Everyone was asking me what had just happened, lol.

If you told Belichick in August that he’d spend a portion of the week bye week before the Super Bowl vigorously rubbing footballs, running them outside then sticking gauges in them to measure air pressure in order to stave off the wolves tearing at his reputation and his team’s focus, he’d have…I don’t know what he’d have done. He would have found that beyond all realms of possibility.
This is why i like curran. He takes his beating but doesnt cloud the judgement.
