The Official Belichick Post Press Conference Thread

A Ravens fan I talk to is still skeptical so I've told him to take up Belichick's "do it yourself" offer and to try show that a number of Youtubers, Bill Belichick and a number of Physicists are in fact wrong. So he's going to go test in 39 Fahrenheit outdoor conditions soon.

I don't think we need to hold our breaths on him breaking Physics.

I think Peter King should make us a deal. We fill a ball to 13 PSI inside at 70 degrees and place it outside at 50, and if it loses pressure we get to chuck the football at his face with a jugs machine on full speed. Think he'll ****y out?

I was flipping through radio stations waiting for the press conference and almost all the talking heads were saying that the Pats were going to admit their guilt so they could move on, the only one who didn't was Rob Bradford who said if they violated a rule the NFL would do the PC. The two guys on 98.5 were morons.
Bertrand is fat oaf and Gasper is elitist dork who I swear has never worked a hard day in his life.

I do think its really funny how many "journalists" are really mad that BB and Brady wont just cop to this and are giving an explanation that doesn't go along with their preconceived notions. They have no evidence that this explanation isnt true and yet they feel that they can already call the patriots liars, its just too funny.

Yeah. Who was the aZZ in Brady's presser who kept trying to get him to apologize to the fans?

Did anyone pick up when Belichick said he welcomed the leagues investigation at a number of different levels which seemed to insinuate that he feels some unjustly reported them.
Yes. I took that to mean the referees and the Indianapolis Colts. I swear if the Colts played a significant role in this, they will NEVER win a game against Belichick again. Mark my words.

I wonder if the players were still around the stadium when Belichick had the press conference. I have this image of them watching in the locker room, and giving him a standing O when he came back after.

Colts and Ravens need punished how about turning their first round picks to us?
Polian Buscotti scum.
Pagano I don't care if he beat Cancer he cant beat Belichick!
As far as Harbough he will always be second to his brother and Belichick only reccomended him for the job because he wanted a punching bag.
The Ravens and Colts have officially gone to the top of my hated team list even over the Jets!
Luck will never sniff a Superbowl as long as Belichick or Brady are there to stop him.
Go Pats!

I love the fact that he essentially dared the media to make him have another press conference.

Don't make me stop this car and come back there!

The merits of what Belichick said will be debated but from an "instant reaction" standpoint, this is what I will focus on: Part of covering a Belichick-coached team is attempting to understand Belichick himself. That is never easy, even after 15 years, because he doesn't often open himself up to outsiders.

Yet most anyone, after Saturday and also recalling how Belichick initially addressed Aaron Hernandez's murder charge, could easily come to the conclusion that he is extremely proud of his program and the work that has gone into building it over those 15 years. And while he will accept the knocks for a bad misstep like Hernandez, he won't simply sit by on an issue he finds much less trivial (yet still very much reputation-shaping) such as under-inflated footballs, especially if he feels the team is wrongly targeted.

Now peter king is being an ass
I guess he doesnt want readers in those 6 states, unless they don't call him out.

The only FU missing was if he said, "it's not like we did something clearly illegal, like making public comments about wanting to sign a player currently under contract to a division rival"

It was brilliant, and in True BB fashion he told the assembled masses that he is done with this BS and he won't answer another question about it

If this whole thing doesn't put a nail in the coffin of 98.5, there is no justice. They've been on Bill all week. Well, not sure about Gresh and Zo, but Gresh is gone anyway. But Felger and Maz spent the whole week calling him a liar.

That was a side of BB that I think players love but we rarely get to see. He sold me on his theory except for one point that I hope someone else here could clear up. How would the preparation of balls before the game increase the PSI of the balls by 1 pound per square inch? Moreover, wouldn't this preparation of the balls be accounted for when the refs evaluate the balls before the game? I guess I don't see how the preparation of the balls that lead to the rise of PSI by 1 have anything to do with the decrease of the PSI from the point at which the refs give the balls back to the team and halftime...

Nope. If there is one thing Felger is damn good at, it is weasling his way out of the moronic things he says. He'll never admit to fault.

Put Felger and Mazz and a room w/ BB for 5 minutes and there is only one man not crying at the end.

Hint: It's not BB with the hankie.

Pretty much everyone at 98.5 has thrown Belichick/Brady/Pats under the bus this week except Gresh, Zo and Bertrand.

WEEI was awesome......Michael Holley, Dale Arnold and Jerry Thornton killed it, totally yesterday (Dale was off yesterday).

I swore of Mazz the day he simply made a mockery of all Patriot fans and their continual "fanboy" references are said to irk and gain ratings.

Switch those two off. NFL satelite radio or ESPN is great after 2:00 PM. Gresh & Zo from 10-2 are just fine though.

I do not need homers ( I do enough of that), but football talk is what I seek, not to be made into a joke because i root hard and use the sport for my escape.

i hate peter king

Refs1: For the nth time this week … All game balls are brought to officials room before game. Part of officials’ pre-game duties include…

Peter King ‏@SI_PeterKing 2m2 minutes ago
Refs2: … taking an electronic pressure gauge to all footballs. If they are not between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI, refs adjust pressure …

Peter King ‏@SI_PeterKing 2m2 minutes ago
Refs3: … to be sure they in compliance. For NE’s (as Mort said) to be down 2 lbs/PSI per ball and Indy’s still in range …

Peter King ‏@SI_PeterKing 2m2 minutes ago
Refs4: … is the most significant part of discussion. Now we’ll see what NFL probe turns up—very likely post-SB ...

Peter King ‏@SI_PeterKing 2m2 minutes ago
Ref5: … And, of course, we’ll need affirmation that the officiating crew did all the proper measuring pre-game. All to come.

I heard something that makes sense. Indy was going to challenge the balls. They knew that in advance of the game. They also knew theirs would be tested so they inflated their own to the maximum pressure. I think the way the Patriots rub/prepare the balls will have something to do with it too. After watching about 9 scientific tests, I am convinced it was solely related to that stuff, and no funny business occurred. There are a ton of people who owe us all an apology!

I just watched it again. He said that the preparation of the football caused the differential in PSI. They constantly rub the ball to get the tack right. The rubbing caused the ball pressure to increase. I didn't realize that the football was made of pigskin. All this time I thought it was plastic. I am so dumb. Wow. It's not man made material. It's animal skin. I did not know that. BB taught me something.

I thought Felger/Mazz to be entertaining at times and could stomach most of their shtick. But after this week, I'm all in on Michael Holley, Thornton and Arnold. There will be no Felger and Mazz in the forseable future. Adam Jones can also have a **** shoved down his throat. Scum, the lot of them.
