To the diehard crybabies it won't matter, but to anyone with an inkling of judgement and character BB just nailed it. Anyone who watches that and thinks he was lying cannot judge character. And frankly, few will be able to continue the charade.

BB just scolded them, and looked like the only grown up in the room.

there is a certain well known poster who cant be happy about how well BB comported himself

hint.......he was speculating about kraft firing BB

Go BB.....woot woot
Who was that?

i hate peter king

Ref5: … And, of course, we’ll need affirmation that the officiating crew did all the proper measuring pre-game. All to come.

He's not worth the hate anymore. We're seeing a respectable career deflate- and it's not TBs or BBs. Guy is done. Sad but earned. No escaping that he's a tool anymore.

Besides, didn't Bill say that they give the balls to the refs and ask that they be inflated to 12.5 and after that they pay no attention to it?

I feel confident that the Patriots will be found completely innocent in this matter and the NFL is going to look really bad in the aftermath...along with most of the media.

Was there really nwo music playing? I didnt catch that

Patriots.com needs to hurry up and upload the press conference. I'm dying to watch this.

I'm going to have to add that press conference audio to my ipod workout mix. It reminded me of Tupac's "Hit em Up". I wish there was a camera on the team watching that. The stupid colts and mediots made me waste a week of life worrying about this.

I don't rush my judgement on people. But holy ****. I am in awe by the amount of stupidity between King and PFT. Seriously, does those guys have a brain at all?

yeah, Curran actually is one of the more reasonable reporters who actually.....ya know doesnt tear down the pats any chance he gets

I honestly don't think Curran was trying to tear the Pats. He just asked a wrong Q or two.

IMHO this has been a no-brainer all along. If the ball in inflated inside at a higher temperature (and rubbed up, which could in fact increase temperature even more), OF COURSE it will be deflated when it is taken out into the cold, this is not complicated and not controversial. I'm a professor of physics, but hardly the only one, you could call up probably 10,000 people (maybe way more) in the Boston area who know enough basic physics to uniformly reach the same conclusion (I published a link by BU Physics Dept. Prof. Martin Schmaltz several days ago on this). This result is not just possible, it is to be expected.

I think that BB called up one or more local physics professors and they said: "of course the pressure will decrease significantly if you rub it up inside and then later on take it out in the cold, and you can prove that it in a few hours with some simple experiments". But of course, the NFL should have already reached the same conclusions. But....no word from the NFL, in fact the noise about cheating and so forth was just getting louder.

So I think BB decided to have the Patriots do these simple experiments themselves (doubtlessly with the help of some local physicist) so that things didn't drag out any longer, to force the league to explain why they haven't performed that obvious step.

I admit that I'm a big Patriot Fan so maybe I'm not being as scientifically skeptical and rigorous as I would be in my work environment, but it seems to me that the NFL should have come to this obvious conclusion long before now, exonerating the Patriots. Why had that not happened? I would hope that will be the REAL scandal that comes out of this whole fiasco, but with Goodell as the scandal target. I think I heard a hint that something like this (a payback) may be forthcoming from the Patriots in BB's speech.
