He's probably the closest we've got, but he's pretty much all Internet and television and more of a reporter than in-depth writer. But I like Mike.

There is no fool like a old fool. He is irrelevant and time has passed him by. I'm sure his article will be a classic not.

Bob wrote an insulting piece about the Pats just before the 2013 season began. I emailed him to express my displeasure, but I was polite. He sent me back a reply that can best best be described as insulting and condescending. One of his main points was how much BB and the Patriots are despised outside of NE. He suggested that a hick such as me ( my interpretation not his words, but there was no mistaking his intent) who hasn't traveled the globe as he has couldn't possibly imagine. Well, I travel quite often and know firsthand what it's like, so I told him that as well as telling him how disappointed I was with the tone of his response. He reacted by sending a response which was worse. Rude and nasty. I showed these to several people and they were actually shocked. He despises BB and has for years. His columns always trash the team, the coach and the owner. He's one bitter old prick. For what it's worth, I loved his columns for years.
