Bledsoe comes to Brady's defense!

Bledsoe is the man, once a Patriot always a Patriot... I am glad someone took a stand, even more so that it was Bledsoe!
He is absolutely right, can't see why Aikman and Brunell would make statements without having all the facts... pretty irresponsible of them-

I came into the interview midway through and I was like... "Is that Drew? It sounds like Drew." I hadn't heard him interviewed in forever.

As for lack of animosity between the two, yeah, never heard anything. Tom's widely said that Drew helped him out quite a bit during that season. You don't help out your replacement if you don't like the dude.

I am so glad that some of Tom's friends are coming to his defense in the media.

Know who would make a difference? Peyton Manning. Yet I've heard squat from him. I find it hard to believe no one's asked. It would certainly be nice if he would stand up for his fellow QB.

I like your profile pic by the way ;) lol

I thought it was awesome he came out and said something. I've long since known he doesn't hold a grudge against the Patriots or anything, but its still good to see him come out and defend their players at a given time of turbulence in the media.

I'm glad that somebody finally stood up and said this was wrong the way people are treating Tommy. Always did love Bledsoe and grateful for his part in turning this franchise from being a joke into a winning tradition.

Let's not forget we wouldn't have our first championship if it wasn't for Bledsoe stepping in during the AFC championship game against Pittsburgh. Drew is a champion and one of the good guys in my book.

OT but when Bledsoe went down and Brady came in, I was a hair away from giving up on being a fan.
I was living in CA with no way to watch games at home, so I'd have to go the bar at 10am to see them play, not where I wanted to be. It was crushing at the time.

I am so happy that Drew spoke up on Toms behalf. It must be nice for Tom to feel someone is in his corner after the crappy week he has had. Hope Brunell and Aikman Choke on their words.... Love Drew and Love Tom. Both are Patriots for life !

I too have been contemplating this.
Maybe they have asked him and don't like his reply!!!!

I don't know if you mean because Brady replaced Bledsoe or because you moved but:

Drew Bledsoe was the best QB in my eyes as a kid growing up. So, as you could imagine, I was initially against keeping Brady in once Bledsoe was ready to play again. I was just, "who is this kid to replace Bledsoe??" I don't know if I almost quit being a fan, because I tried to trust in the coach's decision even though I agreed with it, but I didn't feel like quitting on the team I grew up cheering for anyways. I totally believed, and still do a good deal, it was the defense that got them that far and didn't matter who was a QB that year. In fact, it wasn't until around the time of Super Bowl XXXIX that I began to believe more in Brady and the way he plays. I don't know how far the Pats would have gotten with Bledsoe but I feel differently now about keeping Brady in and I think things have turned out for the better for everyone involved in that first SB-win season.

OT but I had such a mega crush on Bledsoe. When I met him (after getting his signature on some artwork of mine during his second year as a Pat) it was to that point the single best moment of my life.

I think the hair on the back of a lot of ex-patriots who played on teams Brady is standing on edge.

Great to hear Bledsoe come out and CALL OUT other qbs.

It would be nice to see a high profile respected player come to Bradys defense...

Awesome job Drew!!
