So I'm a Patriot fan living out here in California, moved from NH in 07.

Firstly I believe brady and bill and it is obvious negligence or mother nature is too blame here.

Pre flat footballs when I went out in public in my patriots jersey I would still get haters to say something occasionally but I normally would just brush it off, it didn't happen too often but I'm sure more often than other jersey wearers considering we make other teams our punching bag so frequently.

So sadly for the first time I went to a public event last night with my wife and 2 year old where I would normally be in a Jersey but I didn't wear it. I simply knew the likely hood of an a-clown embarrassing himself in front of my kid was too high.

These talking heads in the media make it seem like trashing the patriots is a freaking obligation.

I seriously am contimplating moving my patriots license plate frame over to my new truck now fearing some idiot will key it.

Call me paranoid or whatever but this is certainly going to have a ill effect on pats fans outide New England and it's a shame.

wear your shirt with pride and wear it out often. to hell with what anybody else says. they are all hypocrites. dont be such a wuss. i would love for someone to say something to me out and about.

I made the same decision this morning to not wear my Pats jersey while out running errands.

It's incredible that with one week to go before my team plays in the Superbowl, that I need to be concerned that I might be subject to more than just good natured harassment.

Still wear my shirts with pride. Until there is physical proof that the Pats did anything wrong then there is no reason to worry. People's arguments fall apart pretty fast when you ask them if they've seen any proof or know for a fact who did it.

Apparently only the Pats fans care. Kraft is just counting his money and palling around with the Commissioner as the franchise is crucified.

Patriots Hoodies all the time for me. Before this and after.

I can take some heat, the long term affect though is that you play for glory from peers, and now there is less. I think it will effect players coming here. "Oh you won a SB with NE, any without cheating?" Nobody wants to deal with that BS. "Oh, we didn't cheat just ask Kraft...nevermind". He can't be bothered to defend us. Damage is done, reality doesn't matter, just perception. And they did **** all to keep the glory these players earned from being flushed by the lynch mob.

I don't have a kid or a family. Just a girlfriend. So I'll continue to wear my jersey in public. He who **** talks me is getting **** talked back by the master. If that person decides to press it, they can pick up their teeth off the ground. But I'm not expecting this to be as bad as Spygate and the undefeated season. Granted I was younger and cared less, but I got into a few either near or actual physical altercations that year from wearing jerseys and T-shirts out and about.

That's a problem and you are making the right decisions. Your wife and 2 year old need you more than you need to make a statement wearing a jersey.

This deflated football problem will be an issue for all fans attending away games. Dumb as-es that are all boozed up will attempt to prove their manhood by targeting Pats fans. Next year we'll be easy prey for drunks and sucker punches

I live in Virginia (suburb of DC) and it's mainly Redskins fans around here and wore my Pats shirt at the gym yesterday. Some guy came up to me and said 'it's gonna be a good game' no mention of balls at all.

I also own my own restuarant and was wearing my shirt there, no one really cares from what I'm seeing honestly. Cowboys fans, Redskins fans, Eagles fans we all spoke about the game and deflategate and the general reaction was honestly supportive and indifferent. Alot of people are seriously tired of this story.

I think it's mainly the media and moron fans who think too much about this stuff about the 'integrity' of the game being questioned. Like I said i've spoke about this with over 50 people and not a single person thinks this had any outcome in the game or called the Patriots cheaters. Many even said it's only a big deal because it's the Pats.

Most fans don't care about trivial crap like this in my honest opinion. Even my cousin who is the biggest Manning supporter and hates the Pats was saying this story is so overblown and he's tired of it.

Our rivals couldn't beat the Pats, in the end all they could do was destroy them.

Remember when the Raiders were considered the NFL's outlaw bad boys? People wore their gear as a sign of rebellion. This is about football -- not radical religion or politics. Wear your Patriots garb and a smile and carry on.

Trust me there is noting better than getting into it with another teams fan base out in public, normally bit would be a fun exchange. I just fear people now will go over board without logic or reason.

I literally have like 20 something pats jerseys, even a Cassel one I got from my mother in law. It is religion for me that I wear them on the weekends.

pats hoodie on guilty or not. this whole thing is a pathetic joke. even if they did alter the ball pressure so freakin what. this entire thing is a media driven story. espn is a embarrisment. there football coverage is garbage.

Well, if you are worried about the haters they will talk trash even if pats win 4 superbowls and go 19-0 every season, animals are animals regardless of the situation.

I'm starting to wonder if I am a Pats fan or a Brady/Belichick fan. At least until the franchise finds a new owner with balls.

Exactly the only people who care about this crap are the trolls who patrol espn or pft forums. Noone else.

I will give it a go tonight then when the family goes to Angel stadium for Monster Jam. Will report back wit details. Will wear my brady throwback, as it is subtle enough to keep most the complete idiots unaware. Or should I wear my full blown brady white?

As a Pats fan. I didnt even care about Bounty-gate. It was just a damn witch hunt like this deflatecrap is.
