Is this essentially a road game for New England?

Ever since claiming their third title, people are flat out sick of the Patriots. They are tired of seeing the same team over and over again. I get a feeling that this will be a flat road environment for New England because of their sustained success among other things. Will this place be filled with Patriot haters or is it gonna be an actual neutral crowd? Thoughts and opinions?

It's a road game for the Pats, but it's not utterly a home game for the Seahawks.

Haters. Probably at least 70%.

Seattle is closer to Arizona and you HAVE heard the Patriots are evil incarnate, right?

Not even a road game. Like a final boss on maximum difficulty. A great opponent and about 50 million who will be actively rooting for Patriots to basically self-immolate on live TV. This will be the most hostile atmosphere a Super Bowl team has ever faced.

Seriously. America will probably burst into social media orgies if this happened to BB on the sidelines:

It will be a sea of green and yellow pitch fork and torch waving screaming rabid fans, can't wait to see some of the signs people come up with, lol.

Any chance Pats fan can show strong and get this thing closer to 40 or 50 percent pats fans? Probably wishful thinking.

I'm trying to make it to the game. Ticket prices keep on going up though...

Since I haven't had the joy of being a father, it would be the greatest day of.my life if the Patriots win at Arizona after all this

It's a road game for both teams. Cheering fans to fire you up are only one small part of the home field advantage. It's also more about travel effects, familiarity (playing surface, bounces, wind tendencies), routine, accommodations, jet-lag, and if you're lucky with a 95+% sold out stadium of screaming lunatics (which will not be the case here), add crowd noise, and perhaps with that, some undue referee influence.

I dunno, plenty of Pats fans in AZ.

Maybe NEM will be there to run over haters using his wheelchair.

Which fan base is more financially able to make the trip? As @shmessy points out, Seattle is closer, but does it have to be taken into consideration that they were in the super bowl just a year ago? Maybe people arnt kicking the door down to go as badly this year because they just won.

I was wondering what sort of greeting the Pats will get when they are announced and take the field.

A chorus of boos?

It'll be 25 percent Sqwak fans, 20 percent Patriots fans, and 55 percent corporate freeloaders.

Man, ticket prices are prohibitive.

I'm glad this one isn't in NJ. The weather essentially made that a home game for Seattle last year. I'd say the dome hurts them a bit.

Speaking of road games.;..

Anybody think Belichick did the week in San Diego earlier this season as a dry run for the team handling the Super Bowl trip?

last yr people thought the NY superbowl would be neutral but was full of seahawk fans. This will be most of them and most neutrals vs NE. This is 100 % road game.

I have a strong feeling we'll be pleasantly surprised come February 1st, and we'll be very well represented in Arizona. Won't be like last year when Seattle basically had a home game.
