Kraft really is a goodell butt kisser.I cant believe this guy is our owner.

IDK, I take this statement as "we know the Pats cheated, but we can't prove it and we won't stop until we do.... But we haven't made any conclusions yet and keeping an open mind even though we know they are guilty."

Overall, it was a piss poor statement. We are almost a week in and this is all they have to say.

LOL...........well........for now, it will be easy to know what media to avoid.

beyond that, who gives a crap..........people will get bored of waiting.

Precisely, that statement right there tells you they're on a witch hunt, not an investigation. The balls used "during the game did not meet specifications"

********, there are no in game specifications, and the before game rules for checking, mean virtually any ball encountering a temperature change during the game will be different from the before game specs.

They haven't figured out step one, meaning there's no way they haven't ****ed up every other step since then.

It's incredible how this is dragging out. There really aren't that many variables.

So it is a good or bad sign that nothing has happened yet? Good sign that they are scraping the bottom of the barrel to find evidence of wrongdoing and try to show they did their homework. OR bad sign that they are trying to assemble an overwhelming, tightlock case against the Pats with LOTS of evidence, or some smoking gun.

New translation: "Robert Kraft has not yet agreed to drop the tampering charges against Woody Johnson, so the investigation will continue until he does so."

Good sign. If they had something, they'd be giddily putting it out over the airwaves.

I read this as

'We didn't find anything, but if we gave up after only 5 days, people would claim we didn't work very hard. So right now we are spinning our wheels for 3-4 more days, and then we'll claim we found nothing."

Bob.

time to force Goodells hand. this goes into next week then the team are going to be destroyed in every media session.

throw a hissy. lets see what the nfl have.

this is a ****ing joke.

The goals of the investigation will be to determine the explanation for why footballs used in the game were not in compliance with the playing rules and specifically whether any noncompliance was the result of deliberate action.
This is the key statement of the release..and surprised no one is running with this. "specifically".."deliberate action"...Pats balls slightly below the limit before the game, refs miss it..no deliberate action by the Pats found. Case closed

Well i guess now we know why brady and BB have not been interviewed yet. Looks like the league is going out of its way to throw as many roadblocks at them as possible next week.

Practice?! I don't think so Mr. Brady, I need to ask you 4 hours worth of questions. I don't care if the superbowl starts in 36 hours, you have to come in and answer my questions about this football right here that is 1 psi lower then normal.

Once again, the statement does not say that the balls were actually measured before the start of the game.

Disagree. It clearly says that they were:

NFL said:
Prior to the game, the game officials inspect the footballs to be used by each team and confirm that this standard is satisfied, which was done before last Sunday’s game.

(my emphasis).

I mean, if you want to say the NFL is lying, go ahead, but their official stance (which is all that matters, whether they are lying or not) is that the balls were tested and found to be within the 12.5-13.5 specification.

Could easily be interpreted the other way around. They can't find anything but it is such a firestorm that they need to "thoroughly" investigate so they decide to drag it out to look like they did a good job.

Translation: You got NOTHING

Gotta start wondering if this is more about the publicity (this is creating) than it is about the actual game itself.
