Friday's NFL statement

So we have to endure another week of this witch hunt. NFL must need more time to manufacture evidence
Week?? Not a chance. St. Patrick's Day...maybe.

The only thing that sticks out to me from this report is that the balls that were properly inflated at the beginning of the second half remained properly inflated after the game. Of course that doesn't say anything about when or where they measured the inflation of said footballs.

Prior to the game, the game officials inspect the footballs to be used by each team and confirm that this standard is satisfied, which was done before last Sunday’s game.

Hmmmm. Still no mention of any numbers recorded by NFL game official Mr. Whipple when he actually tested the ball pregame with the gauge required by the rules to be provided to him along with the balls.

If the Pats come out showing this was a huge distraction I will be so damn pissed. You already know this is all the players will be asked about on media day. I hope they refuse to talk to anyone. What an absolute disgrace the NFL is becoming. Letting the biggest game of the year be tarnished with this ****.

Not to mention this interferes with our team's preparation for the freakin Super Bowl! Where is Robert Kraft? What a load of crap.

It's crossed over from patently absurd to mind-bogglingly absurd. If you can't determine guilt, innocence, or reasonable doubt after five days and 40 interviews, then you're either grossly incompetent or you're desperately reaching for something you can use, which is disgusting.

How hard is this get the officials, the equip guy, Brady and ball boy in the room for for 2 hours. Ask the needed questions. Release a statement hand down a fine or whatever. That can all be done in about a half day.

Herr Goodell wants this to be the most talked about story on media row next week not his incompetence so this will drag until after the SB which then they will come out and say they could find no evidence that anyone physically tampered with the balls

The brass of the NFL have put themselves in a position (due to the Ray Rice issue) where they have no choice but to be thorough, with every stupid thing that comes on their plate, they have no choice but to be transparent, and show everything and collect as much as they can to give to the media who are looking for blood, this is what happens when an organization (the NFL) has no credibility with the public.

Frankly Im sick and tired of the passive way the patriots braintrust chooses to deal with these allegations. They should go on the offensive. It's really wearing me down.

I agree. It's time for the Patriots to change the conversation. IF they know they are clean, get offensive.

Basically what i got here was that the NFL sees that the patriots are surrounded by sharks, and instead of completing their ****ing job, like they said they would in 2-3 days 2-3 days ago, they have instead tossed some chum in the water.

Yep. That's the way I see it. Maybe Goodell is too stupid to realize that, I don't know. But, that's what he's done.

Yeah, now I can definitely see this being a problem. They're going to continue interviewing people into next week? Obviously that's going to directly interfere with the team's preparation.

Not good at all.

Translation: "We are having a hard time finding evidence to pin this on the evil Patriots. We will do our best to work to find ANYTHING to bring down this evil team. Patriots have nothing to hide, but we will still do our best to bring them down."

It sounds like we will be hearing this past the superbowl. SMH

At least they hired a 3rd party to ensure objectivity in all this mess.

BTW, it is in the best interest of the NFL to get this right as a league that enjoys anti-trust exemption.

Yep, Kraft could derail this with one statement.
"Hey, NFL, prove that we, the New England Patriots, deliberately tampered with the game balls in any way. Until you can, shut the #@$% up."

Where is Robert Kraft? What a load of crap.
Im getting kind of sick of this guy and his pacifism.. He needs to buy some balls or at least re-inflate his own or just sell the team. I was under the impression the mega rich are cut throats who do anything to protect whats theirs. Did he inherit his money or something?

Ok it's official our SB celebration is already ****ed up.

Like the 3rd party they hired to exonerate themselves in the Ray Rice investigation? NFL has ZERO credibility when it comes to fair and balanced investigations, 3rd party or no.

"And we expect fully coperation from others clubs too" Irsay better stay away from the drugs at least a week more

He has no sack, or he values the league over the Pats. Maybe both.

"We got squat so we need more time to pin something on them, by any means necessary"

Yeah, can see this ending up with me being done with this sport.
