EVEN AFTER THE PANTHERS AND THE VIKINGS ARE CAUGHT ON ****ING VIDEO tampering with the balls mid game.

And Rogers has admitted he over inflates balls and Brad Johnson admitted that he bribed a ball boy $7500 to prep the balls the way he liked them - IN THE SUPERBOWL

The double standard against the Pats makes the sport borderline unwatchable.

People think this will galvanize our team. I fear for the opposite in the SB. With the NFL letting this hang over the team, every guy next week in AZ will have to deal with constant questions and distractions . I hope they can play the game focused but wont be surprised if it affects them badly.

All that is going to come out of this is the pats cheated and either got caught, or got away with it. Can anyone else really see any other way this shakes out? Is the NFL going to come out and say there is proof that the Pats did nothing wrong?

Best case is that the NFL admits they did not check the balls and we are cheaters who got away with cheating again. I hate to be negative but how else could this possibly end?

I guess not having proof of tampering would help but then reporters would be frothing at the mouth trying to find out if indeed the balls were under inflated which, if they were, would set off an even larger **** storm.
I agree. Unlike some others here, I think the pats will be slammed. Regardless of evidence. Goodell has said clear proof is not the only requisite. They will slam them because it happened under their watch even if there is no explanation for it.

The only people who worry about what their children would think of this are ****ty parents who couldn't teach their children about having their own moral compass.

All of this also coming from a group of people who have all cheated on their taxes, exaggerated accomplishment on a resume, and never bent or broken a rule ever.

And aren't these things I mentioned part of our core society and much more important than a football game?

Entire team needs to skip all of media day and kraft pay the amount for the fine. The media has damaged this team enough, we don't need all our players available to be hounded on over this trivial ******** by people with no ethics prior who suddenly become Christ almighty with a moral compass the size of earth after.

Still many unanswered questions. Despite a rush to judgment in some circles, there is incomplete information to analyze. This is the challenge of the 24/7 news cycle. Unfortunately, that hasn't stopped some from publicly questioning the integrity of Brady, which from this viewpoint, has crossed the line based on the credible information available.

Following up on Schefter's words. On Thursday morning, ESPN.com NFL Insider Adam Schefter said the following on "SportsCenter": "My understanding is that the league has had a tough time getting somebody to substantiate everything. Now, the footballs are the footballs. We have the evidence and they've found that some of the footballs were underinflated or deflated. But to figure out the process, who's responsible, why this happened, my understanding is that it's been difficult for the league to ascertain those facts so far. ... I think the feeling all week long has been that it may be until after the Super Bowl that we have any announcement of any discipline, if there is any that does come forward in this particular case."

Focus shifts to the NFL. The league is not commenting on its "review" at this point. Brady said Thursday that the league has not contacted him, which is somewhat curious. From this viewpoint, that's the obvious place where the focus should now shift. By acknowledging their "review" and investigation in the first place, the NFL has given this story a tidal wave of momentum over the last five days. Some more information and transparency from the NFL on what they have, what they're looking for, and their process (pregame, during the game, postgame) would add critical context to the discussion at a time when personal reputations and the brand of one of its franchises are at stake. That is, unless the NFL likes the idea that talk of deflated footballs is leading national network newscasts and adds an element of drama in the build-up to Super Bowl XLIX.

Belichick's news conference. The way Belichick approached his Thursday news conferencewas a surprise. The feeling here was that he would open by talking about the Seahawks, the great challenge they present, and then mention something at the end of the opening statement about the deflated footballs and how he can't comment based on a league investigation. That would have been consistent with his approach in most situations like these. Instead, he was detailed and addressed the issue head-on. It felt like he put all his cards on the table.

Brady's news conference. The general sense from this viewpoint was that media members felt like Brady was going to "fall on the sword" during his news conference. When he didn't, that led to a negative backlash in some circles. While everyone is searching for answers, that doesn't seem fair. The first question asked to this reporter in a radio interview on Thursday night was, "Do you believe Brady?" The answer: In 15 years covering Brady, there has been no reason to question his integrity. We should wait for some more information, specifically from the NFL, before we jump to this level of discussion.

A big disappointment. That sums up any personal feelings here. Also, it's time for the NFL to step up. If the Patriots are found guilty of any wrongdoing, hold them accountable and let's move on to talk about the game. If there is no evidence of wrongdoing at this point, say it, mention that the review is ongoing, and let's move on to talk about the game.

Its a huge distraction.Losing the game will just make it worse. These guys need to come together as a team and put a performance of epic proportions.

I dont know. Winning is going to really bring out the idiots too. Like I keep saying here, they really cant win. People hate us and we have not won a championship in 10 years. Imagine everyone after this and they win another.

Yikes

Know Goodell, wont be surprised if they dont "let us" win ... with refs etc..

It has gotta seriously feel like it's an "us against the world" scenario for the Pats right now. I hope they use this to rally the troops and put together the best performance of their lives next Sunday.

This is an idiotic media-driven distraction of ridiculously overblown proportions. Over what, if it even happened, 2psi? As Fitzy would say, GFY!

I'm hoping that our 47 warriors can overcome this obstacle just as they have overcome many hardships over the course of the season. Go Pats!!!

Weei morning show has convicted the Pats, and dont mention weather to the scientests there ! . Just remains the punishment. with which they are being very lenient,,,, very big of them .

Will probably listen to Dale and Holley but other shows felger etc> no way.
What is this Dodge city? And we wonder how in the "olden days" there were lynch mobs. Imagine Brady , High Noon shootout. then measured his Colt a few grams under the limit> much quicker draw . Hang em High. Just disgust about this whole thing. whether the Pats are innocent or guilty, such a big deal about something so minor. which was never an issue before. and stirred up by a drug addict. \

Meanwhile Woody tampers with Revis and for weeks nothing. till I believe Pats files charges.
Would jets, colts, ravens Trade places with us...in a minute

I'm sure this will be well received from a Colts fan, but I'm ready for this to go away.

For two reasons:

1.) So people who know nothing about football or this situation would stop having ridiculous loud opinions about it. CNN anchor opened pre Belichick presser yesterday by asking the girl reporter- why would the Colts not notice the game ball being deflated when they had the ball.... Well done CNN. Betty at the office being 'disgusted' by the cheating. hmmm Betty, name one Colts player ever, not named Luck, Wayne, or Manning.

2.) I'm pretty much over seeing constant highlights of the Colts getting pounding last week that goes along with every story being shown.

Lastly, I'm with the folks on here that suggest that the NFL puts an end to this with "No direct tampering was found" and "We are going to review and tighten the procedures and hopefully remove any future questions about PSI". If it did happen no way they'll find proof and no way they can pin it on anyone directly. Time to put this to bed.

There will still be questions, but they'll disapate as much as possible at this point.

Alot of this was funny to opposing fans at first. BB is arrogant, smug, and unlikeable AND the best coach to ever coach in the NFL, imo (puked in my mouth a little saying that) It's fun to see someone like that get scrutinized, if he's not on your side. Now it should be over. The NFL looks more pathetic and impotent with every passing moment.

Here's where you call me a troll without really reading the post.

Can I just point out that the NFL have chosen the word "review" for this, you review broken equipment, you don't review potential "cheating".

Another thing to think ...Could BB/Brady have intentionally put only 12.5 psi knowing it will drop with weather and help them even if infinitesimally ? Wouldnt that be smart?
