Hearing more and more radio talk ,dan patrick etc..and more people seem to think brady is lying which is sad and disappointing....

All that is going to come out of this is the pats cheated and either got caught, or got away with it. Can anyone else really see any other way this shakes out? Is the NFL going to come out and say there is proof that the Pats did nothing wrong?

Best case is that the NFL admits they did not check the balls and we are cheaters who got away with cheating again. I hate to be negative but how else could this possibly end?

I guess not having proof of tampering would help but then reporters would be frothing at the mouth trying to find out if indeed the balls were under inflated which, if they were, would set off an even larger **** storm.

They're saying it in hope and to get ratings, that's all.

Stop listening, that's the best thing you can do.

I do think Brady did himself a disservice yesterday, I dont think he was prepared and I think he is going to get hammered on this.

No. Tom Brady didn't do himself a disservice with that press conference - - the Pats PR Dept did.

Stacey James should have been preparing him for some of the questions he was likely to face. ESPECIALLY "Are you a cheater?". He should not have been stunned by that if he was adequately prepared. It looked like he had merely come in from practice directly into that room.

Seriously, why throw the poor guy out there to look like a deer in the headlights without giving him SOME preparation?

That would be a great idea until he finds out that the league has chosen JJ Watt as their champion.
Maybe we could convince Chandler Jones to get his brother to be our champion (once he's out of rehab).;)

Brunell is in full defense mode on WEEI.

Well that's the thing, 'possible' doesn't warrant any kind of penalty. It is 'possible' that I slept with Kate Upton last night. Unless I had confirmed proof, nobody would believe me and nobody could prosecute me, if sleeping with Kate Upton was an offense.
It would be an offense. I totally want to hit that.:D

I can agree with that but I have to say honestly he came across as lying, imho. I sure hope this come down to know one really knows because lets face it I dont thin the refs actually weight and measured as they are supposed to and I bet anyone they didnt document. Love to see that come out, it wont though.

But at the end of the day it is Bradys responsibility to be sure he was prepared, again imho.

Baloney.

There are three possibilities:

1) The one you listed above, which, knowing the NFL, has the largest potential
2) The NFL cannot find anything and drops it for the time being stating lack of evidence, but will renew if other evidence comes up in the future
3) (the furthest possibility) They catch the Colts as manipulating this

"JackBauer, post: 4086466, member: 3316"]I am still completely baffled as to where Brunell came from and why we should care what he has to say.

Found this about Brunnel in addition to his bankruptcy

Brunell and his family are active members of the Metro Morningstar Church in Sterling, Virginia (now Grace Covenant Church). When they were living in Florida, Brunell was very active within Southpoint Community Church, a church on the southside of Jacksonville that he helped found. He was also one of the most involved members of Champions for Christ. He also conducted volunteer work at the University of North Florida.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Brunell

Champions for Christ, based in Austin, Tex., started in 1985, said a spokesman, Dave Jamerson. It is made up primarily of athletes, including widely respected figures such as the former Los Angeles Laker A. C. Green, who is a vice president in the group, and the Washington Redskins cornerback Darrell Green, a board member. Jamerson said there are at least 50 pro athletes in the group and there are chapters on about 20 college campuses. He said the group's mission is to ''communicate the gospel of ************ to youth, college and professional athletes.''

Thomas said: ''We believe in staying in somebody's life and being part of a family. That's all Champions is. We're trying to grow in Christ.''

Jamerson said he was unaware that any member of the group told another member to donate money.

But several Jaguars players who were interviewed said that teammates in the group aggressively tried to recruit new members on the team last year, passing out leaflets. They said the players asked teammates to donate to Champions for Christ, and would also express disapproval of players who used alcohol. At times, the players said, the team was divided between those who were members of the group and and those who were not.

The possible influence of Champions for Christ on players' finances, team executives said, led Jaguars management to ask the N.F.L. to investigate.

Shmes, I hope you are right. I just have a feeling this will never go away even if there is no evidence. I pray something comes out that is clear cut and will shut everyone up. I just dont sense it.

The Pats PR bungled that whole thing yesterday, but Brady will bear the brunt of it. Whether he's innocent in all of this or not, he was not convincing yesterday like Belichick was earlier in the morning.

He's an absolute idiot. WEEI is ripping him apart. "Using a deflated a ball is a competitive advantage." Literally two minutes later, "I don't think it's that big of a deal, whether it's 1 psi, 2 psi." ****ing moron. Make your mind up, baby boy. He should go back to doing things that he's good at like making ****ty investments and getting snot wiped on him.

Media needs blood. To me, the most interesting development is that everyone in the media now believes Bill Belichick. That takes whole lot of heat out of the situation - and creates a bit of sympathy towards a possible BB suspension or draft pick penalties.

I'm actually stunned that the media believes BB considering how he's been portrayed as Evil Incarnate and how BB has treated the media in the past. But interestingly, he does have certain things going for him which helps.

BB is known as a line-stretcher and a technicality guy but is not known as an outright liar (except by Roger Goodell in his "I was betrayed" speech - and the media clearly has little regard for Goodell at this point). Former players - even those cut and bitter - talk about the one thing they appreciated was that BB never lied to them. When SpyGate came out and BB issued his statement - he never denied it, he just provided his explanation. Instead of that, he could have said it was a rogue person -- that he specifically instructed the camera guy that filming there wasn't allowed anymore and that the camera man is lying -- but he didn't, he said he ordered the code red. So he has a history of fessing up in these situations. In press conferences, if he doesn't want to tell the truth, he just ignores the question instead of lying. I think that - combined with his story sounding good - played a long way in vindicating him with the press.

Yeah, Was disappointing. Mannix says on dpshow if the patriots just admitted it instead of denying it emphatically , the story would die. ...Hard to believe brady didnt notice the difference.

So after killing BB from monday to wednesday now they are killing brady.

Kraft has been a wuss.He should be telling the nfl to hurry up with a decision

At this point, I think we need to know what @dikembe thinks the 5 keys to beating DeflateGate are.....

After his presser yesterday I honestly believe Brady knowingly had the footballs deflated. I also see it as a non issue just like Rodgers inflates his. Unfortunately since it is the Pats and people love to hate them, some form of discipline will be handed down.

You mean people want to take down the 100 million dollar QB married to a super model who has crushed every team and every record when he is about to play in a game that could easily cement him as the greatest QB to ever play the game.

Gee

So now the question is, what is the Colts' penalty? Irsay suspended a year? Or maybe not suspending him is a more fitting punishment? This is strike #4 for him. Pumped in crowd noise, turning up heat, dui, lying and who knows maybe they taped the bears walkthrough? Nobody can say they didn't.
