Really, it's mind-boggling.

Go have a drink, smoke a joint, get laid, play with your kids, lie down with your dog(s)/cat(s)... do something to unwind and relax.

I can only imagine these media members sitting at their laptops, feverishly refreshing websites and checking their phones waiting for more damning evidence or the ultimate bombshell, all the while foaming at the mouth and quietly murmuring under their breath, "gotcha, *****es".

It's heinous. **** the media. This whole situation is ridiculous and they're entirely to blame for it.

(Again, assuming we're in the clear here. I think we're fairly safe to assume that at this point. Belichick and Brady would not take the risk of lying).

If nothing else, I hope the NFL apologizes to New England during their release (assuming they find no wrongdoing). And if they don't then Kraft should absolutely demand a public apology from the league.

I'd be very happy with your suggestion of an apology, but I highly doubt that we'll see one.

Just my opinion.

The age of social media/twitter/quick information has pretty much ruined any small ethical value that still remained in the world of mediots.

Now they are just beating each other to the punch trying to be the "breaking source," even if they are wrong. It's pathetic.

ESPN should be blackballed at media day, all next week and especially the post victory celebration. F them and dare the league to fine us.
And plus weei and 98.5 except holley dale mikey zolak Fauria.
And you know what...they and much of the media will stick to their horses. They lied but it cant be proved .

Yeah, no character assassination here, folks. No libel whatsoever. Move along...

Right.

Brady's story Thursday was harder to believe than the story of the 199th pick in the NFL draft becoming one of the greatest players of all time. The lead-footed pocket passer became a Russell Wilson-like scrambler in the half hour he fielded questions at Gillette Stadium, and when it was over, it was clear that the only starting quarterback to advance to six Super Bowls had just lost one of the biggest games of his life."

"I tell them I'm going to be OK," Brady said. "This isn't ISIS. No one's dying. We'll get through this."

He's right. Someday pro football will be about pro football again.

But if the league finds evidence that Brady didn't tell the truth here, and that he did cut a corner even Belichick wouldn't cut, Goodell needs to make Jimmy Garoppolo a starting quarterback a week from Sunday.

You know I was just thinking, we all know Kraft won't say crap because he has no sack. But there is another....

I'd love to see Gisele jump in and tear the media a new one with some Latin fury.

What would Kraft getting involved at this point accomplish?

This spiraled out of control by press and the NFL is in a bind now.

Having subjected one of the game's legendary QBs and, by all reports, one of the nicest guys in the game, to a rectal probe from the rabid media dogs on live national television. And their official didn't even measure the pressure when he was supposed to (because nobody really gives a damn about a couple PSI).

I feel for Tom. Imagine having half the country calling you a liar and a cheater over a ridiculous story. The guy always does the right things the hardest worker the league has seen and everything hes accomplished in the league he earned. I believe you Tom Brady and I sincerely hope when you and Belichick are proven innocent, there's backlash on the media the Colts organization (not the honest Colts players) and all the Patriot haters

reading this news... my "footballs" are becoming slightly over inflated.

I blame it on Goodell. The NFL hung Brady out to dry with their leaks. When every "football guy" in the league knows that nobody has ever given a flip about the precise PSI of the football. It's not like a golf ball where you can actually get more yardage from an out of spec ball. The NFL could have provided some context and didn't. I blame them.

The sad thing. After the Ray Rices, the Aarron Hernandezes, the Marshawn Lynches and all the other thugs and knuckleheads, the league should be praying for more Tom Bradys. Instead, they drag him through the streets as a cheater. Over NOTHING.

There is still the possibility that Goodell can "get it right."

It really sucks that the NFL hung us all out to dry, but I think Goodell is on a slippery slope since many opposing fanbases already believe that he somehow gave us preferential treatment last time. I'm just hoping that the real truth comes out in the coming day or two. That's all I want out of this.

How much would the fine be if the team boycotted Media Day next week? If that Mortensen report, which everyone is accepting as truth, is wrong, then there is no way I send my team to answer questions from the same media until they publicly apologize for the witch-hunt and retract every false report/article, and even then, I probably still would tell the media and league to go pound sand. We've wasted a whole week talking about how much air was in a football and had the character of two future HOFers torn apart because the media didn't get the answers they wanted to hear. Garbage.

I would like to know as well. What makes them credible? Admittedly I'm ready to believe them if they have any credibility.

There are now three independent sources indicating that there is no evidence (thus no punishment).

The Vegas people, the Bostom.com guy amd Schefter.

The boston.com guy has been saying it since Monday or Tuesday. Long before the other two. If you want a source you'd have to search this thread for "bdc" or something like that.

It is a waiting game at that point.

What would the fine be for flat out not attending media day and holding press conferences for selected media (I.e. no ESPN, SI etc) instead?

These hacks don't deserve to be near never mind talk to Patriots players & coaches.

The players should just stone wall reporters, ala Marshawn Lynch. It will piss them off which I am more than happy for.

"Thanks for asking"
"Yeah"
"Maybe"

How great would that be
