Just to elaborate a bit on this, the official tweets are below. Who knows if they're legit.

BREAKING - Our source has CONFIRMED there will be NO penalties imposed on the Patriots by the NFL in the wake of deflategate.

Sharks of Vegas @SharksOfVegas · 3h3 hours ago
Official announcement is expected sometime over the weekend. NFL simply has no "proof" the Patriots themselves tampered with the balls.

NFL is not saying the balls were not tampered with, just that there is very little evidence against the Patriots.

Now the next scary thing is why a sports book would have an inside source at the NFL.

Adam Schefter did say that the NFL cannot find evidence and he is a trusted source. So I'll believe these tweets along with what Schefter said.

Yep, even though we shouldn't expect anything at 2 AM. Still after today, I feel better. I am banking on Schefter being correct. No evidence, no penalty and then...RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!
I don't know, these leaks keep happening in the middle of the night, from the initial leak, the 11/12 thing, all the way to this latest "Sharks of Vegas" thing.

Who is is/are the sharks of vegas? Hope the mofo is right. My question is if this is true why didn't mort tweet this during the late night hour? 2lbs of pressure was worthy of a late night snack and a tweet.....

I would like to know as well. What makes them credible? Admittedly I'm ready to believe them if they have any credibility.

FWIW, those tweets appear to have been posted 3-4 hours ago, so they likely dropped around 11 PM-12 AM ET. Still quite late.

One can only scratch their head and chuckle a bit at this point.

If Kraft had some balls he should sue all of these hack journalists for libel. Claim that the reputation and value of his franchise has been damaged.

They seem to be a handicapping site, which offers a service to their members to bet on games.

I don't know...but someone just joined yesterday and is already 3-0 with their picks, so if anything I may start using them ;)

Leaked info< Kravitz> Pats under investigation for deflating balls....press asks for proof> leaked info about 11 of 12 balls. Leak dwell Jackson interception > ball to refs to check. Yea but did refrs check balls at halftime ? leak > yes and all under by 2 psi. Yea but did they check Colts balls? leak > yes and all were ok. Yea but did they check balls before game with gauge? leak ? NADA ! Who did it...Brady BB, ball boys equip manager? Leak> NADA !
ps. BB throw out "random " psi numbers..Pats at 12.5 and insinuates colts at 13.5 before game so by 2nd half of course Pats would be under limit Leak NADA !Pf what values they were.

Brady and BB pressers prove nothing....they don't break down and ask for mercy.
And this is where the back tracking begins
1. Mort says he believes them !
2 we find out that Jackson didn't notice a difference in psi
3 The NFL says "review" is ongoing not "investigation"
4 day before Schefter who hasn't spoken yet and who I consider the most credible source of the all says league is having difficulty getting evidence .
5 If NFL had hard evidence you can be sure they would have questioned Brady already. I doubt they had evidence and just wanted to set him up to look like a fool lying in front of cameras.
BTW I really doubt the BB and especially Brady would lie in front of the world if they weren't sure 100 % they are right or that they cant be connected to this.

This spiraled out of control by press and the NFL is in a bind now.

I don't think it'd be about him having balls as much as it would be next to impossible to prove, and that's not even bringing in the whole "media isn't always correct" argument vs. malicious intent etc.

He'd never win in my opinion.

The Mediatanic has little time left.

Didn't hear that part about Mort believing them. Interesting, just furthers my belief that there is no proof, no punishment.

@SharksOfVegas on twitter is reporting no penalties will be imposed due to lack of proof, take it however....
I saw this info off a retweet @chesterinpdx sent it out, pfw listener great Pats fan

I dunno, you have Brunell almost crying over not getting to pin this on the Patriot's QB. A bunch of analysts who lost big games to the Pats, national media frenzy over it. ESPN pulling that Mort story down suggests that network might be a least be thinking about the possibility.

Hell, if that report about the 11 balls turns out to be false... look at what it caused.

Edit: Harvard Law vs. Columbia Law, lol.

This may not be popular but did I believe Bill Belichick? Yes.

Kornheiser put Belichick in the same sentence as Whitey Bulger, Wilbon called for a vacation of the Super Bowl by New England, Stephen A. Smith and countless others (Aikman, namely) have called for Belichick to be suspended for (at least) a season. Brunell had an emotional breakdown of epic proportions on ESPN, Bettis and Dawkins explicitly claimed New England lied. That's just to name a few instances.

I initially was slightly amused by the term "witch hunt", but now that I'm watching this unfold that description is appearing eerily accurate.

Would it be a stretch to sue for libel? I suppose so. But that doesn't mean Kraft shouldn't consider it.

If nothing else, I hope the NFL apologizes to New England during their release (assuming they find no wrongdoing). And if they don't then Kraft should absolutely demand a public apology from the league.

You also have these people attacking the integrity of the staff and the organization. Multiple people at ESPN used the word "liar". That's a big deal.

First off, we don't know for sure that Mort's story is coming down everywhere, and even if it is---mediots break bad news all the time.

Now....if someone were to stand up and publicly come out and say "I know 100 percent for sure that so and so are definitely guilty based on these facts," that may be a different case.

All we have is major suggestion at this point in time. It would be very difficult to prove. I'm sure Kraft and the team have some excellent lawyers, so they'd likely have brought it up last time with all of the false stories, especially the one from the Herald who actually admitted their mistakes and apologized!!!! That right there was a lawsuit waiting to happen.
