How will you be watching the Super Bowl?

With my wife and two sons. Not a fan of watching the Pats with anyone besides them. Its like a football Sunday ritual for us.

Ok, this is not so much for the lucky ones (and rich ones) who are going to the Super Bowl.

This if for the others who will be watching outside of the stadium.

When the Pats are in the Super Bowl, do you still host a party or would you prefer to be like me and actually prefer to not have many people around?

Do you have a lucky chair or specific spot you need to sit in? is there a certain friend or family member who is absolutely not invited (due to a superstitious jinx of some sort).

For me, my family (parents, 2 bros, 1 sis) and my wife's family (parents, 1 sis) come over but to be honest I'd prefer it just be me and my younger brother. You see, my brother and I share the same passion and we never actually sit down during the games. We each have our own specific football that we hold during the games as we pace, jump up and down, or go into a tirade at the refs. Adding mroe people to the scene only adds unwanted commotion. Leave it to my mother-in-law to ask about the QB's off field life during a big fourth down ("Is he married? Does he have any kids?). Oh, and my wife has another brother who is just not invited. He's one of those annoying guys who actually is a big Pats fan, but pretends to take such joy when things don't go their way ("ha, he can't tackle anyone", "ha ha, there is no way they win this game", "they suck. good thing the bruins are looking better") Things that just fester away at me.

I'll have my authentic Teddy Bruschi shirt on. I've thought about updating to a Gronk or Edelman jersey, but Bruschi jerseys will never go out of style (similar to Larry Bird jerserys).
Haha, I'm kinda like you. I'd rather watch any big game alone, or with people who are equally as passionate and knowledgeable about the sport.

Nothing worse than watching the Super Bowl with people asking stupid questions like: "why did he throw that out of bounds?!" When a QB throws it out intentionally because everyone's covered, or "what's a neutral zone infraction?".

Grrrrr cant stand watching sports with casual fans - I guess I'm a sports snob.

I'm from the Philippines and the last Super Bowl by Pats I watched it online like I usually do. This time I'll be watching it in this sports bar. I want it to be a one of a kind experience. This should be good, deflategate aside lol

Super bowl party at my buddy's place! I can actually enjoy this one no matter the outcome, unlike 2011

I will watch the game like I always do....pacing from side to side ;)

Those that can actually worry about their SB "menus," while discussing commercials seem just as strange to me as I probably do to them.

This year was weird for me because for the last five years my brother, mother and I have gotten together to watch all the patriots games and this year we couldn't because because we all moved away.

I watch Patriots playoff games by myself locked doors in my room and phone turned off. I'm a nervous mess

I think I will watch it alone in my home on my 104" projector screen. I want to enjoy the super bowl. Not sit with a bunch of people who don't know anything about the sport( I live in Sweden, so that would be pretty much everyone) and explain everything to them. I don't want to sit in a bar where some of the people I know who actually understand sport are, because the screens are small and you often miss stuff. I want to enjoy seeing our New England Patriots play in the super bowl, and I don't want to miss a single thing. So at home it is where I can really focus fully on the game. You can hang with people any other time. But when the Pats are in the Super Bowl, well that's not a hanging out time.

Plus I'm way to much of a nervous wreck when the Patriots play to hang out with people in a bar.

My mother in law is gonna be there. This is worse than spygate and deflate gate combined. If the pats are losing, it will be....

Why did he not catch that pass?

Why did he throw it to the opponent?

Why can't they score any points?

How the F should I know?!?!?! Argggghtgghghfh

Alone, in front of my giant projector screen. Was going to invite people over but now it is too important and I need to concentrate.

with my gf, on my 60inch Sharp HDTV, with a big bowl of New England clam chowdah!

You have to explain further. How it is that you will still enjoy the game if they lose?

In front of my 60 inch SmartTV with my computer on and opened to Patsfans.

I am glad I am not the only one a nervous wreck by themselves.

My friends want to invite me over as I am a side show...yelling at the tv. pulling my hair our, rocking back and forth in the corner, getting up sitting down, standing on furniture.

I think it is best for me to just stay at home and do this and not get laughed at...

Oh man, I know far too well how that goes and in your head you are just thinking "AND WHY ARE YOU HERE!"

After all, it's the biggest game of the year, the most stressful game of the year, and sports fans know that the outcome of this game will be a permanent staple in their sports historty (for better or worse)......please please please let me just keep to myself and not have to explain basic fundamental questions as the game is going on.

My favorite (sarcasm) is when the Pats try to run and get stuffed. Without a doubt my dad will be there to be like "Oh, that was so stupid, why would they run that play?"

I had this one friend who kept saying "I hate it when they run. Why are they so dumb?" After every run play. That was during the 18-1 Super Bowl season. I almost murdered her.

It's funny reading these posts how many people like to watch alone. I would not have guessed that.

In my man cave...........with my buddies....spend the day shooting pool, tossing darts...getting drunk, smokin' doobs.....smoking ribs and brisket and eatin' that......who knows, I may still be coherent come game time

I wish it was on a Saturday night......I'd probably take some shrooms or ecstasy to boot

I actually wanted to invite some people over but my wife is an even worse loser than I am. Lol.

Thanking God that my sister married a rich guy who just so happens to be a Pats fan. Got the text earlier today asking if I wanted to go and what flight I wanted them to book for me!!!!

Bastard.
