Based on some quick reading, Lane sees the field vs teams that are in 3-4 WR sets a lot of the time. For example, he had 51 snaps vs GB. Outside of that, he's STer

It is highly probable that he won't even play on defense in the SB.

The dude is situationally out of his league.

Now we just need a Sherman quote and we should be gtg.

guys...seriously, dont worry about stupid chatter like this.. this is bascially Lane trying to preempt and save face. Basically what happened is :

Pete Carrol : "yo Lane...you have to cover Gronk. You're the nickel"
Lane : "hahahhaha. funny one"
Petey : "no im serious...thats your job. Sherman can't move inside"
Lane : "F***, what do I do now"...

Moments later...brilliant idea by Lane 'well if I tell everyone Gronk sucks, then when I get beat I can just say I was playing off coverage because he sucks'

Maybe this is wishful thinking but I'm liking our chances more and more hearing this stuff...

Someone should tell Lane that they should stick Sherman on a teams #1 receiver instead of #3 receivers to see how good he really is.
