Brady presser: What does he say?

ROFL Brady releases ball in 2 seconds. So they somehow think between handoff from Center and him throwing ball TWO SECONDS later, he'd notice if a ball was a PSI or 2 less.

Seriously there's a huge chunk of the planet that literally has no significant brain activity.
Yeah, the 18 year ref also missed the supposedly under inflated ball. Brady used his devil mind powers to make that happen.

So Bettis/Dawkins (really ESPN management) want Brady to apologize and own up.

What if that was a lie. What if Brady knows nothing about it? I think they took so much out of context its not funny. Brady has the ball for 1.5-3.5 seconds and he's suppose to stop and say, jeez, this football sure seems easier to squeeze.

If the NFL doesn't put this to rest real soon, it's going to get ugly. All the good news from BB this morning is gone and the circus has turned into a mob on the hunt. It's absolutely ridiculous.

I mean, Brady wanted these balls different for one game or all his games?

I hope Brunel is hit by a car on the way out. How can that POS look at himself after saying those things? Trying their hardest to bring a man down with ZERO evidence. Thats who they hire for their flagship NFL show?

Is he crying?
Hey Brunell!

The only time Brady touches the football during a game is when the center snaps it to him.

Do some of these idiot reporters not know how football works? Do they really think he's going to be sitting in the pocket, thinking about air pressure of a football, with multiple 280-380 lbs guys trying to tackle him? All while trying to read the defense and throw the ball to an open receiver? ************.

If there's anyone who should be criticized for not noticing something wrong with the footballs, it's the officials. They handle them a LOT throughout the game.

They deliberately twisted his words.

Theres no reason to go around accusing Mark Brunell of being a QB now.

I have to admit I am a little surprised--eh, flabbergasted--that he called Brady a liar.

Then when he explained why, it was a complete twist of Brady's words.

So basically, across the board, QBs are coming out and siding with Brady.

Except little baby Mark Brunell.

That guy can go **** himself.

Former QBs. That's nice but it would be nicer if current QBs have the balls to come out in support. Are there any QBs with integrity out there anymore? Any QBs in support of justice willing to come out to help put down this nonsense?

I'm willing to bet no.

It's all becoming clearer that my initial thought (that others shared) is the reality: Pats prefer balls under 12.5 and submit those, refs don't care because it a ball is a ball is a ball, so no one thought twice about it until some pedantic cry baby Colts equipment manager noticed.

Since the refs never measure before the game, just hand test balls (insert joke here), there is no evidence of anything so why own up to having done it for awhile.

Look on the bright side: Maybe that's why his deeps balls have been so awful the last few years. :)

I hate this silly story, we are all dumber because of it....

How would you even catch them lieing about any of it? Wiretap? You think one of them personally deflates balls? Or gives the order in writing?

If there was video evidence of anything it would have been out by now..

There is nothing revelatory that can come out of this story. Unfortunately we need to wait it out.

Exactly. Whether guilty or not, it's apparent at this juncture the Patriots would have no compelling reason to confess, because there is NO evidence. If the glove doesn't fit......

Very tempted to tweet him that.
I roughed up Jerry Rice on Twitter yesterday. He came out with the cheat crap and I tweeted that his 94 SB should be vacated b/c the 49ers circumvented the cap by paying off his charities so they could sign Deion.
#94SBvacate.

I know my voice is puny, if they want to throw stones in glass houses, I'm holding these guys accountable

I'm preparing Brady's Super Bowl speech. "ESPN, Jerome Fatass, Mark Sanchez's backup QB, The crybaby colts, and all the other *****es can all suck my GOAT balls." "Now I'm gonna go **** a Supermodel."

I wish he would say that but WHAT ABOUT THE KIDS?

I am honestly concerned by his press conference and I really hoped that I wouldn't have been. He kept saying how he couldn't tell the difference between the time he first checked the footballs, liked them, and then the difference between how the ball felt in the first half and second half.

Now we know that the psi of most footballs (Maybe Mort is incorrect on the exact number of footballs which fell by 2 psi) fell by a significant amount.

Brady also said that he likes the footballs inflated to the min (12.5)...so then my question becomes why does he prefer the footballs at 12.5 psi versus 13.5 psi if he can't tell the difference??? Why does he even care if the inflation of the footballs is on the low or high side if he can't tell them apart???

Major misunderstanding on my part and a hole in his argument from my opinion.

I am really not happy about this and substantially more stressed out about the outcome...

You serious? maybe years ago Brady found a football he really loved and when he asked what the pressure was he was told 12.5 PSI and from then on he had the pressure set at 12.5 PSI

If PSI so damn important why is there a 12.5 -13.5 range?

My thoughts when I saw how unfairly he was being treated, were that I bet a lot of players come out in a show of solidarity having watched him put through that. We can only hope they do.

On a human level that was a malicious attack and has no place in sports.

What the media just did to Tom Brady is far worse than any pressure change in a football. I am utterly disgusted.

I think Belichick and Brady know the NFL doesn't have a shred of evidence to hold them accountable with and therefore, they aren't fessing to it. I'm not criticizing them for this, because I would do the same. At this point, if they did orchestrate something, they only have everything to lose by fessing and nothing to gain. Teams skirt the rules all the time. If the NFL can't prove anything or doesn't even know who deflated the footballs, there isn't much they can do.

I think you're projecting (you admitted you'd do that). I wouldn't do that, so I have no reason to believe that a guy with Brady's record would do that.

Consider the downside vs. admitting, vs. not admitting IF he did it. On the one hand, the worst that could happen would have been a slap on the wrist. Not admitting it and getting caught could destroy his legacy.
