Brady presser: What does he say?

That's why I said at this point Belichick and Brady have to know the NFL doesn't have anything. They wisely waited a few days to comment, so that the dust could settle. So, while risky, I think Belichick and Brady know by now what they are up against and are calling the media/NFL bluff.

I would rather them just tell the truth - which I hope and believe they did. The worst that can happen if they lie is far, far, far, far, far, worse than if they don't.

What would they have to confess to? The dumbest part of all this is the "crime" doesn't make sense. None of it. Tom said it himself- "thought it was sour grapes." It's because nobody in their right mind could think this is a thing. We're just being led to believe it by a group of people (media) who didn't have enough to talk about before a Superbowl.

I'm a proud Patriot, but I wouldn't put it past them to have orchestrated this. Teams do this sort of thing all the time. Brady is correct though. It is sour grapes, because teams do this all the time and the Ravens/Colts know this. Harbaugh is hoping Belichick gets busted, but there are skeletons in Harbaugh's closet too. He's still butthurt.

Plaschke "Brady should not be able to play in the SB

Full-fledged, BSPN, witchhunt

The media can go **** themselves.

Because they lied to the media? Or to the NFL? Because the NFL hasn't even contacted Brady yet.

For the love of Mary, I'm back at WEEI. Felger & Mazz should be ashamed of themselves. Same for the ESPN Village Mob composed of (1) a bankrupt former nobody QB who backed up Mark Sanchez; (2) a disgruntled former Pittsburgh running back who got it handed to him by the Pats when he could run; and (3) a former Philadelphia safety who had his Super Bowl chances killed by the Pats and his puking quarterback. How can Reiss or Bruschi work for these people? This is all about nothing...nothing. Why they left Tommy out there for 30 minutes is beyond me. But he said it best during the press conference: it's time like these when you know who has your back. I got sick of the nonsense of WEEI, but I am back there now. It's nice when your main afternoon radio talk show of the station that hosts Patriots games has the two biggest pretentious back-stabbers headlining their show. Just despicable. Bill, Tommy, we got your back! Screw 'em.

The only time Brady touches the football during a game is when the center snaps it to him.

Do some of these idiot reporters not know how football works? Do they really think he's going to be sitting in the pocket, thinking about air pressure of a football, with multiple 280-380 lbs guys trying to tackle him? All while trying to read the defense and throw the ball to an open receiver? ************.

If there's anyone who should be criticized for not noticing something wrong with the footballs, it's the officials. They handle them a LOT throughout the game.

Brady & BB's Hall of Fame bids would be crushed by getting caught lying about this. No way they risk that. If they did, then I have to re-evaluate the way I view them as people and football player/coaches.

He didn't apologise, he deflected and talked about how unfortunate the situation was. No way he needs to apologise, he's done nothing wrong at all.

I was calm about this earlier but now I'm a wounded animal. Patriots are like family and they've gone after one of our own. We need to stand up and fight this.

Trying to bait TB in saying sorry. F-ing slimeball.

ROFL Brady releases ball in 2 seconds. So they somehow think between handoff from Center and him throwing ball TWO SECONDS later, he'd notice if a ball was a PSI or 2 less.

Seriously there's a huge chunk of the planet that literally has no significant brain activity.

OR maybe they should ask Edelman if he noticed on the pass he threw. ROFL

But then he goes on and says he likes the footballs at 12.5 psi, yet earlier he said he couldn't tell the difference. I think Tom spoke too much, he's hurting himself and the team. A LOT of journalists caught this, and now the verdict by THEM is guilty. I wish he would have kept it short and simple like BB. Tripping himself up with thes two comments.
It sounded like he was talking about when he picks them out or decides on a ball. During the game he does;t notice.

Imagine if when Brady was stepping back to throw, that he would be thinking about the psi...while trying to read the defense...find his targets. Maybe the center might have an idea. Numbers might mean something before the game, Football , soccer ball, tennis strings, before play I wanted them at a specific number ..during game never thought about it....unless it was radical.

They don't care if pats did something,,the truth doesn't matter>>> they just want them to be punished

You're right, they would be crushed, but.... I'm pretty sure they know there's no way they can be caught lying at this point. How would that even happen? Nobody knows anything. There's no physical evidence. There's no case.

Like Greeny said on Mike and Mike the other morning until THEY TOLD HIM there was a difference in the psi between 2 balls they brought onto set he couldn't tell. I LOVE the idea of Brunell, Bettis etc doing the blind test and see if they can identify the difference.
Especially when brunell said "I felt I could throw it further" by just holding the ball, when it's been proven an under inflated ball travels less distance. Witch hunt

How would you even catch them lieing about any of it? Wiretap? You think one of them personally deflates balls? Or gives the order in writing?

If there was video evidence of anything it would have been out by now..

There is nothing revelatory that can come out of this story. Unfortunately we need to wait it out.
