Brady presser: What does he say?

"I like balls held a certain way."

Unless Belichick hasn't spoken to Brady since Sunday, then I don't expect anything from the PC. BB said he has no idea how/why the balls were deflated.

What will he say?
I think he'll tell the truth.

I missed the Belichick presser but read he said something about 12.3. Is this whole ****show actually over .2 points?

He made a point of pointing out that those numbers were examples though, not that that's what the balls were measured at. He used it as an example of how a ball at the minimum would naturally deflate to an "illegal" number while a ball at the maximum would naturally deflate and still be fine.

I quit. Jimmy's running the show now.

The max Brady probably did, or I hope it is the worst he did, was tell the ball handler/s to deflate/inflate the ball at room temp to 12.5 PSI....maybe 70 degrees or higher. Then the balls given to the Refs where they inspect and everything is ok. When the balls are out in the cold, the PSI obviously goes down.

That is what I think may have happened. That is NOT against the rules. The Colts may have inflated their balls at a higher PSI and/or inflated them in colder temps before giving them to the refs for inspection.

They moved the brady conference to 4:15-4:30 ET, im sure ESPN want to broadcast the conference in nfl live program

maybe he says he knees on the ball and squeezes it a lot to get the right feel after the referee approves it. thinks this may be how the air came out.

That's referring to this from BB's presser today:
Belichick said:
So, as an example, if a ball deflated from 13.2 to 12.9, it wouldn’t matter. But if it deflated from 12.5 to 12.3,it would. So we will take steps in the future to make sure we don’t put ourselves in that type of potential situation again.

The question is did he just pick the "12.3" out of a hat, or did someone tell him what the too-low measurements were and that's what it was? We won't know until the NFL releases the results of this ridiculosity.

It was an example. The footballs were found at 11 PSI.

We picked out the footballs I liked the best. They were a little scuffed up and it seemed to me to feel just right. That's where my involvement ends. New footballs suck. Nobody likes them. We practice all the time with balls that are pretty beat up so maybe I am used to that. I guess the footballs were submitted for inspection. That's something I don't know anything about, but I hear it happens a couple of hours before the game.

I always figured that if the footballs pass an inspection and are marked by the ref then we were good to go. That is all I know. Just that I helped pick out my favorites the day before and I didn't see the footballs again until game time. I have no idea whether they were low in pressure or not, and no idea why or how they passed an inspection if they were low.

We do keep the footballs inside except when practicing or playing. It wasn't super cold on Sunday, but it wasn't exactly 75 degrees outside either. I am not a scientist. I guess pressure drops when temperature drops, and some air also leaks out just in the process of testing the pressure of the football.

I certainly never asked anybody to take any air out of them after the inspection. I don't know of anybody who did, either. I am not involved in the process at all once I give my two cents about which balls feel right and should go in the bag to be game balls.

That is really all I know. I am focused on Seattle right now and hope everyone else is too.

we still dont know that to be true, outside of unnamed sources. Wait for the facts people.

He did specifically say "for example", so no. Now granted, he may have picked those two numbers as an example for a reason. If it comes out that Mort misheard 0.2 psi for 2 psi, then he should seriously have his credentials revoked for starting this whole ****show over absolutely nothing. Ridiculous.

If he says he prefers the balls be inflated at the league minimum, then this matter is entirely resolved.

Clearly the weather effects the balls and case closed.

But holy ****, this is easily the most asinine "scandal" in the world. We're really doing this...over a ball having a little less air. My god, how aren't these media idiots embarrassed?
