@AdamSchefter says on @SportsCenter that from what he has been told, Bill Belichick had no knowledge of deflated footballs.Also told NFL is having a hard time finding evidence in this case.

This came from my Facebook page and I cannot get a more detailed link. Supposedly posted on ESPN Boston, but I couldn't find it there or on Adam Schefter's Twitter, but I am about as good with that stuff as BB.

Learned from hes personal trainer and baseball, that Cold weather lowers the pressur in balls and he on purpose pumped them to 12.5, knowing they would "Loose" air afterwards since the ball will be moved outside. If he do so, then he puts all blames on him, NOT Patriots, AND didnt cheat, BUT knew what the result would be. Doubt he do so, but i would respect him even more afterwards.

I think other people out there will have the same criticism that you do but i do not think he meant it that way. I am sure he has knowledge of the rule but I also think he meant that the game balls is a responsibility for someone besides the head coach. When he says he has no knowledge I am sure he means he does not keep track of game balls during the game nor does he go to the 'testing' of them. Like every other head coach he does his job while others take care of that aspect of the game. To think he should have 'game ball knowledge' is pretty ridiculous. Not that you were implying that

I understand what you are saying and your comments been received with humor. What I am trying to get is that if the balls that were used in second half also got deflated, then does that means that there is something wrong with the balls (or the process of preparing balls for the game) ?

Breaking News: footballs deflate because of science and the american media is dumber than a bag of rocks.

It seemed to me like Belichick bought the NFL more time to figure out their story. They may have even asked for more time which is why Brady's presser has been moved up to today. Brady and Belichick are being good soldiers and running interference while the league sorts out what it is going to report and levy as sanctions.

Brady will circle the wagons with Belichick and say he plays with the ball that is on the field, and support Belichick's claim that they practice with terrible footballs to be ready for any conditions. He'll talk about how proud he is of his teammates and ll the work that they've put in to get to this game, and what a shame it is that this issue is hogging the spotlight.

The media will go away unsatisfied. The NFL will probably announce something after Brady's press conference this evening or tomorrow.

Walt Anderson should be at the NFL press conference doing his best Sgt. Schultz routine.

I'm feeling a lot better about everything after this. Yesterday I was sure Goodell was going to **** the Patriots hard to pander to the masses and make up for his recent wrongs in their eyes but I don't see how he can do that now.

... and NFL Network will now show the entire news conference again.

Maybe they're making up for having absolutely NO news about this for the past 3 days.

Sigh. Gotta love how media outlets (boston.com in this case) can't resist the cliched photo of a person looking down, in apparent dejection, for stories on things like this press conference. Most of the time, as in this case, they are just looking over their notes for crying out loud. I thought BB rightly held his head high.

A fine or lose of a draft pick would just make things worse imo. It would allow others to calls the Patriots cheaters and complain they got away with something.
