I can only imagine Roger Goodell and the NFL powers that be all sitting around scratching their heads trying to figure out what their next step should be to keep things in perspective, but appear to be doling out 'justice' for something they have been aware of and know that every QB or team has done in the history of the game.
Unfortunately, I don't have much faith in the current regime to do the right thing and put the media and the naysayers all in their place and that they will deal with it correctly and ultimately visit the rules regarding this issue at the appropriate time.
After the investigation, then the appropriate parties that were involved should be penalized according to what the penalties state(I've read that the fine is up to $25,000). When this has been completed, only then should they sit down and figure out what is acceptable in regards to conditioning the ball to a QB's liking and set up a system that officially monitors it before every game to ensure the validity of the process going forward so we can all enjoy the weeks leading up to the SB and sit around arguing about match-ups and strategies and certain player's ranking in the lists of all-time great's instead of this BS.
