50 pages since i last checked in....someone please summarize?

12 balls....11 under inflated by leaked reports.....my guess is the refs check ONE ball, wink and nod on the rest....that's its basically an unwritten rule that's how it goes

Indy was butthurt....the broke the code.....now we get to see how the NFL deals with it

Double TE, and several others, are trying to ignore the world outside their house and the small community on this board.

It's understandable, but unrealistic.

It's the equivalent of putting one's hands over their ears and yelling "lalalalala".

Believe me, I'm sympathetic to it. I can understand it from an emotional standpoint, hell I want to do it too, but it's not realistic.

And yet Aaron Rodgers and now a ballboy are on record as saying the refs are not as thorough as you believe.

This is what Zolak was saying on the Bob Socci show earlier. He was in charge of doctoring balls for Dan Marino and Bledseo, said the officials many times before a game would just pick up the balls squeeze them a bit turn and be done.

This is probably exactly how it went down..

I'd like to think that, but with Glazer's report that the NFL set up an ambush, I bet this time they actually really did test the balls. Besides, intentionally submitting underinflated balls will only work some of the time.

I'm going to put my dollar down on inflating with hot air. That sounds like such a BB thing to do. Hell, I can imagine Ernie Adams had a chart made up that says what temperature air to use given the air temperature on the field.

No loyalty in the NFL I guess. BB brings Mangina and Tanenbaum into the league and we know what happened in 2007. Then Ozzie gets a shot in the front office from you know who and then BB puts in a good word for John and helps him get a job....and now they file complaints against NE for something that is well known and accepted throughout the league. If not for friends....

They (Ozzie and Harbaugh) "filed a complaint",.

Really? When?

See what I'm most interested in, is if that's true and the league is covering for the refs, does Kraft expose them like he should?

Of course he doesn't. Kraft has become a pathetic self-sellout geezer who only cares about azzkissing the other boys in the club.

God.. seriously no wonder the reading comprehension scores in this country are so low.

Just because there are 11 underinflated balls it doesn't mean that anyone did anything malicious. Without a witness or video evidence there will be no punishment. No matter how much some of the chicken littles and trolls wish for it.

You are misinformed and delusional.

The Colts complained to the NFL back in November. If you seriously believe that nothing will become of this because there is not video proof then you must be the most naïve person Ive ever seen.

Get a clue?

And yet Aaron Rodgers and now a ballboy are on record as saying the refs are not as thorough as you believe.

I never said that I believe the refs are thorough.

The NFL is CENTRALLY at fault here for the insane policy of allowing the individual teams to have custody of their offensive balls DURING the game.

That's like parking your car in the Bronx and leaving the doors unlocked.

We already have stories from Rodgers, Eli manning, Rich Gannon, Boomer Esiason, Brad Johnson, etc. The whole thing is a joke. However, none of THEIR stories involve changing the ball during a game - - only BEFORE a game.

The in-game NFL custody policy MUST be changed before the Super bowl and for the rest of time thereafter.

Please. It's been established already that the Colts informed the NFL about their concerns after the November 16th game.

C'mon, this is embarrassing.

Stop the delusion. The truth will set you free.
Embarressing for the League who did nothing with the information and now have this monster on their hands which they helped create. THAT is the truth.

That's per Schefter for all the Bagdad Bob denialist.

I'm not going to stop defending my team in light of this overwhelming BS no matter how you try to dissuade me from doing so shmessy.

This is probably something easily explained but I'm confused...they say each team has 12 balls, I was fine rest were deflated. They say they were all checked before, halftime and after game. I remember after A TD one being given to a fan in stands...shouldn't there only be 11 total? Just seen the Today Show is going to be live at Belichick press conference. ...I find it crazy air pressure in a ball, in a game that was a blowout is a national story! Lol

Really? When?

It was reported early on in this whole joke...then according La Coforna an NFL spokesman said they had no knowledge of a complaint from the Ravens and then the guy Rkarpa on the globe board said his contact stated that the Colts and Ravens filed a complaint in Tandem.

I don't want to get into the Rkarpa and his credibility etc...it is what it is. I think Harbaugh is lying to the media.

Harbaugh getting his revenge for Brady calling him out for not knowing the rulebook. This all stems from a butthurt Harbaugh.
Someone posted an article where he denies any involvement in this fiasco...

I don't want to get into the Rkarpa and his credibility etc.

C'mon. You rang a doorbell and then ran away.

You quote a poster on boston.com as your only source and then say "'I don't want to get into his credibilty'.

I'm sorry, but that horse has already left the barn there'.

Here is what I do not understand the Colts allegedly notified the league after the 11/16 game... why wait until last weekend?? At the AFC championship game???

The information has been leaked suspiciously,

The first story came out written by a Colts scribe who was leaked information in the middle of the night..

Mon nite around 11:00 PM Mort is given the information in time to make the morning edition.

Last night the info about how the NFL was suspicious since November... and the Colts balls were fine, of course they would be fine as they knew what was coming..

Why would the NFL "leak" information this way, in that paranoid part of my personality maybe it is because they wanted this case to be tried in the court of public opinion, before releasing the actual details...

All of this is too calculated to be coincidental.. I smell a rat, a big f...ing rat.

Me neither. But I'm going to use the truth.

What you are doing brings down credibility.

Saw this posted on a different forum and it makes so much sense. I don't know why the NFL haven't taken the hysterical wind out of the medias sails already.

It's ridiculous that this is even being discussed, let alone by blown into a full on ****storm.

A deflated ball helps a QB grip the ball and receivers catch the ball marginally better but has a slightly negative effect on throwing accuracy and flight of the ball. Wearing gloves does the exact same thing. So let's not pretend is some major issue, or that it's "cheating".

The problem is that may well be apples and oranges. If NE is doing something like inflating with hot air, I totally agree with you. However, if NE actually screwed with the balls after checkin, that's violating a clear as a bell, black-letter rule.
