Is Brady to Blame?

i always thought you can throw farther with hard football. but jaws and others say it's the opposite? is that true? any ex-QB here?
just seem odd.

width or length?

what about brady? rodgers said God gave him big hands. maybe rodgers have big palm. did God gave brady small hands?

For Brady, there is no info for that online at least what i can find. AFAIK they measure from thumb tip to pinkie tip. It differs a lot. For instance, I'm only 5'7, but my hands are 8.25 in and i consider those average. Brandon Lafell is 6'3 with 8.75 in hands and are considered small.

well from sportscience video today, it showed that velocity is less when there is less PSI, and weight is only changed by barely over a gram. I'd say with those figures, its easier to throw a harder football further, or at least at greater velocity.

All kidding aside, I'm looking for a straight-up response from Brady on Friday. No ambiguity. No parsing of phrases, no playing with tenses, no "It's a league matter," etc. He can extinguish this whole issue, or he can allow it to keep smoldering.

Barry Bonds. Lance Armstrong. Tonya Harding. Tom Brady

All hail to these great all Americans. :D

that's what i figured, but that's not what steve young, jaws, and brunnel are saying. maybe it's because you can throw a tighter spiral because of a better grip?

What difference does it make. almost every major quarterback has talked about inflating and doctoring balls amd they've decided to punish only one team. Drew Bledsoe, Aaron Rodgers, Eli Manning, Rich Gannon, Boomer Esiason, Brad Johnson in the super Bowl, just in the last few days.

when are people going to wake up and realize it's just teams and the league screwing with the patriots? If it wasn't this it would be using the wrong headphones, or having the wrong color cleats.

GFY

We win despite the lowest pick, losing picks or whatever deficit,

why wait til friday? he needs to say it tomorrow.

Brady is to blame...for the best record in football history over a decade and a half. If you don't like it, go root for the Jets, the weasels who started this and employed the buffoon in charge.

Jets have a new coach, and Rexy's taking buffalo all the way. You're not required to root for the rapscallions.

I'd imagine the only thing that really changes is some very small amount of accuracy. Even though the velocity change is small, a slower moving ball creates more drag, thus would decrease the distance able to throw, imho.

If the balls were doctored or rigged then he must have known imo. His reaction when told seemed a little off.

When Rule say the pressure on the ball should be within this range, at what temperature should the ball pressure be measured? Pressure is directly proportional to the temperature. Possibly, the ball pressure was taken at a higher temperature, and when it was exposed to the cold outside, the pressure dropped. There is an ambiguity in the rule, and a possible loophole here.

If Brady is suspended like some say. The Pats need to forfeit the damn superbowl.

Show up to media day and all that crap and as they announce the team dont even come out and take a solid stand. The NFL would lose MILLIONS as well as pissed off advertisers.

As ridiculous as that sounds it's even more ridiculous if BB or Brady get any form of suspension. In fact if they do I'll never watch the NFL again.
if Ndamukong Suh got to play in the playoffs after stepping on Aaron Rodgers hurt leg am pretty sure the face of the NFL Tom Brady will not be suspended for the super bowl because he let 2lbs of psi out of a football that should have been checked by the refs before kickoff

$25K fine........and move on

for all the idiots who claim that we should expect Brady to be suspended from the Superbowl if found at fault here...

Are you even listening to yourself? The greatest QB to have ever played the game will be removed from the Superbowl? Who in his right mind would watch JimmyG?!?!? The NFL is a corporation. It's all about making money and rating. There's nothing bigger than Brady in the Superbowl going against the #1 Defense.

Get real people.

Imagine if Brady gets suspended for the SB. People who already placed their bets in Vegas who took the Pats would go apoplectic.

this is going to end one of two way #1 they will put it on the refs for not checking balls before the game or #2 BB gets a 25k fine and its over, the media just has no other story to run with right now two weeks before the SB
I have been saying this since the beginning that it falls on refs. The whole point came to light because a defensive player WEARING GLOVES noticed a difference, but the officials who handle the ball every play without gloves didn't??

I wonder what the media will do if Brady invites his good friends Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers to say they do the same thing...
