Mr Kraft, The Time has Come To Ask: Whose Side Are You On?

Once again I hope you are right.

Me too. I think it's a logical take but impossible to know. It's just hard to see them letting him do a Super Bowl related presser and then suspending him. Just as it's pretty hard to believe there will be any Super Bowl related sanctions after waiting until Thursday. I honestly believe it will be a fine and warning, well see?

jeezus krist....what this IS is a transparent PR grab by the NFL (Goodell) to shed the stigma of incompetence and poor leadership this past year. No wonder the Goon was at the game WITH Krafty Bob. So, BB will fall on his sword for our wondrous owner, Goodell gets back his tough guy credibility and the rest of the owners go on raking in even MORE filthy lucre.

"The NFL is extremely disappointed..."...yeah, thanx, Mort for being so specific. Puzzy. Now about the EXACT proof, the irrefutable evidence of ANYTHING...uh...we'll wait while the NFL(Goodell) sits around a few more days until another brainstorm comes up to further polish his shiny new "image".

I called this from the start...the minute this "story" broke. There is no way in creation anything like this is even dreamed of if not for the already established "Cheatriots" meme. Now, using this arcane "ball inflation-gate" ruse, this rotten scumbag has once again taken a long steamy dump on ALL OF US. Don't you people GET THIS??? We're the suckers in this game. All Kraft has to do is move on from Belichick and HIS treasure bath continues unabated, while he and the rest of the owners and their 40 million dollar a year catspawdell party on. Sure Brady will get this last shot at the ring. Don't expect a fair game. Afterwards, the Goon will announce his "sanctions" crippling the franchise again by robbing draft picks, BB will step down with a golden parachute and a wink wink from Kraft, Brady will get shipped and we're on to the "new" clean Patriots, fronted by heartthrob, JimmyG.

WE will be the suckers the next iteration of this dog and pony sham bilks like rubes at a country carnival.

If this were to go down as you say, I walk away from the NFL 100%. I have a great life as it is and have lots of other things to do with my time, energy and passion.

I am probably done. It will be nice to get my Sunday's back. I was going to bow out after this great season and hopefully a win. Now win or lose the "cheater" label will follow my beloved team forever. It is sad that it may end this way.

No one's getting suspended for the game (unless have video or outright confessions and maybe not then). As Official League Mouthpiece Peter King says, any punishment will be deferred until after the game. Goodell desperately needs to get this right the first time and not get something overturned/beaten in court/whatever again. Plus, I think he wants to see how the game comes out because I am convinced that'll play into any punishment one way or the other.

I don't see how, they can wait, the investigation should be complete and they will have to address this soon. I don't see how they can dodge a finding and sanctions if any are called for. I think we will know by Saturday at the absolute latest, and more likely we will know by tomorrow afternoon.

It's particularly frustrating because I have really started to hate the NFL in the last 3-4 years. I don't like what the league has evolved into since Goddell started to really "work his magic". The Ray Rice fiasco was the tipping point for me in terms of how ugly this current administration truly is. And to have Bob Kraft come out and get behind Roger?? It was both unnecessary and unseemly, particularly in light of his unwillingness to stand up for his own damn franchise in 2008.
I still love the Pats but I'm really pissed at Kraft because he kept his mouth shut during the spygate bull$hite instead of going on the offensive. And in doing so he has allowed a long shadow of doubt over the accomplishments of the franchise. And therefore made it easier for this kind of new scandal to gain traction.
I'm being pulled in opposite directions.

And Kraft is doing it again. Ugh.

Agree with everything here. When Kraft stood by Goodell during the Rice fiasco, it got my blood boiling.

I have to think that Goodell is not going to throw him under the bus now for under-inflated balls, but I could be wrong. If he does, then Kraft absolutely must go on the offensive and start a war. I think everyone knows Goodell saw that tape and ignored. Doesn't take much to reveal that to the masses.

Absolutely correct. The war was lost in 2007 when Kraft let the Pats and BB get trashed over nothing. I fear he will do it again.

How do you know what Kraft is doing?
Maybe he is doing something behind the scenes. So I would not say I know but the organization and all of its achievements are being tainted and there has been no response.

The Kraft's need to fight back this time. Make it clear that the NFL has a great deal to prove in terms of any tampering and contest it right down the line. No more simply eating their crap and talking the punishment. There are only a few people with access to the game balls and the idea that they are screwing with them literally make no sense at all. And the idea that there was some dramatic difference between the Patriots game balls and the Colds and LB who touched 1 ball one time recognized it, but the refs handling the balls for both sides all game long didn't is equally ludicrous. One the whole the story make absolutely no sense at all at any level.

O.K. It might be the "Nuke" resolution. If I am Kraft I tell the NFL to go stuff it, "Rog we are so egregiously sorry for our life changing smudge to the face of the NFL, Screw it. We aren't going to Phoenix. We have decided to forfeit the game!"

Now let's see the Mediots and all the NFL fans who are Patriot haters with H.L.H. (heavy lip hang) as the wise guys in Vegas have to give back all the betting dollars. There will be a few "Heros" driving this story perhaps swimming with the fishes. You think the guys with spats and crooked noses put up with this crap?

This will never be resolved. Even if no proof is on the Pats, public opinion has damned them. We don't have the Colts footballs. Were they accurate? Could the pump have been inaccurate for all? After the balls were so meticulously checked by the NFL refs, did some slimy guy in Pats garb grab them all up and take them out back to a underground work shop to deflate them? They blew up the balls at half time and saw they were ok and not leaking. Says who? So riddle me this....How in the hell do they take them back to NY to show the League office they are 2lbs of air short?

And finally who in the "League office" gave Mortensen the 411 on all of this before the Pats were consulted or/and final cause and results established. And why is that guy still on the NFL payroll. Wait.....maybe Mortensen paid for the info. Wait again...an NFL Official taking money for a scoop? When is that going to be investigated Rog?

So if I am Kraft and I know how to bluff, I say hey Pats haters and Media "smarter than thoughs", "We forfeit. Go pound sand up you deflated ball story". Let's see if the NFL wants to write a check for the cost of a "non" Super Bowl. Let's see if Roger and the League try to stick their "Shield" up Kraft" anal pore. Methink that this story goes away for all time.

I agree, if Goodell tries to go hard on a trivial matter Kraft should let him know he will be calling for his removal at the next owners meetings.

Wild as that sounds I would be fine with that if it weren't for the players, they have earned their opportunity acne should not be denied it regardless of what the league does.

Do you really think that will happen. Unlike most owners who place their team first, Kraft is a league first guy. He let the POS drag the Pats through the mud in 2007 without a response and IMO he will let him crucify the Pats this time.

I don't know, but it's what he should do. He's backed Goodell extensively and this is a trivial matter. If he hangs them for this then Kraft should try to take him down.

Goodell has no backbone and loyalty especially to the Pats. He has shown on many time he listens to the media mob and reacts accordingly. Kraft was a fool in 2007, again in backing him in the Rice fiasco and will IMO do it again. I don't think Kraft cares about the team anymore except financially. The only way he would react if he thinks that it would cost him money. I hope he realizes that if he fires BB, it will certainly cost him money.

If he gets rid of Belichick he will get what he deserves.

I agree absolutely and it won't be pretty for the next coach or the guy in the blue shirt sitting next to the bimbo. Just start losing you will see the seats without bodies in them.

I sure as hell won't be watching them.
