I dont know what this means really but this is what I saw:

Tom E. Curran @tomecurran
Follow

So @mortreport has 11 of 12 balls Pats used underinflated by 2 lbs. so 16 percent flatter. 10.5 or less PSI? And no one noticed? Wow.

Again, people are talking without knowing the math. PSI is not weight. 2 pounds is 16% but pressure is parabolic. You have to use a different equation to measure how much less it is.

We've had people that said it's 7% less pressure, and Sports Science on ESPN said the difference in weight is about as much as a dollar bill, and that the fingers dig into the ball less than a millimeter more.

Then is Aaron Rodgers being dumped by the league?

Aaron Rodgers said he wants to play with an over inflated ball and tries to get them past the league. He didn't say that he has air added to them after they are inspected. That's a big difference if we did in fact deflate the balls after inspection.

Dont really understand all of what your saying, curran, me? but...If someone believes everything Curran says or wants then I feel bad about that. Matter of fact is someone believes half of what any mediot writes then...well not sure what to say. Curran is just another moron with a keyboard and nothing to do but write garbage and surf porn.
You are you, Curran is Curran. Got it?

My real point is, Curran is usually pretty level-headed and defends BB whether you realize it or not. So I value his opinion somewhat.

Steelers owner Art Rooney II said Wednesday he wouldn't label ‘Deflate-Gate' as a “serious” offense, but he would expect discipline from the league office if it is proven the New England Patriots did alter balls during their AFC championship game win over the Colts.

“I wouldn't put it on the scale of serious,” Rooney said. “But, if it is in fact true, it is a violation of league rules that I am sure the league office will deal with it in an appropriate way.”

The NFL has determined 11 of the 12 balls used by the Patriots were deflated by at least two pounds, which is a violation of league rules.

“It is really up to the league at this point,” Rooney said. “I expect there will be discipline if the (report) is determined to be accurate.”

Really starting to smell like an ambush.

The significance of the Rodgers quote is that the refs do not inspect the balls properly.

Can you imagine Goodell having to hand BB the SB trophy? He is either suspending BB or Pats are getting 20 flags in that game.

That's an interesting take.

Another reason why I have to think, especially with increased silence, that the Pats will walk away from this with minor scrapes.

I can't see the NFL being silent for another week and a half. They honestly can't let this go another day or so, or this will explode, while also taking away from the big game.

It was a distraction back in 07.
There's no doubt in my mind that this will serve as a serious distraction this year.
Imagine how bad team morale is at this moment in time?
The entire country is foaming at the mouth with the hopes that the Patriots get dismantled over this.

-Jamman

I'd be shocked if team morale is down because of this. If it is, shame on them.

And even then it's possible that all of those reports could be false and nothimg really happened... unlikely but not impossible until we know the leagues statement and report

I would bet some of it is true, 11 of 12, 2 pounds I bet those items are 100% true its too specific not to be.

The wait is killing me. Every headline I read starts with "Report:" or "Source:", hurry up NFL. I was feeling good this afternoon but I've got a sick feeling about the outcome now.

So let me see if I've caught up.....

The Ravens were PO'd that we made a fool of them with the formation thing (and said 'they'd better read the rulebook'), so they found something the Pats did that was borderline, told the Colts and the league about it, and the League decided to setup a sting operation to catch the Pats in this heinous act?

Is that pretty much it?

And now we're firing Belichick over this?

Wow.

Best case scenario is that they get fined and warned or maybe there is a logical explanation for all this.It was a half of football

Why do you keep saying 2 pounds? These balls don't weigh 14 pounds.

Right. I'm just saying that no one accused Rodgers of tampering after inspection like the Pats are being accused of.

OK got it, I think Curran is way over the top here and riding the hate. Unlike you Im not a fan of Curran or really any media guy, I think they are all full of crap. I think he has no clue what he is talking about. But I will say this if Kraft fires BB then they should find a new family of fans because we are done with them. The cowards here are the Mediots jumping on a bandwagon with no wheels and Kraft not fighting back.

Ironically everything the ballboys did during the game could've been easily captured in the background of a simple defensive signals video taken from the sideline.

As far as I'm concerned, the NFL needs either video evidence or a confession from a team employee if they want to do anything incredibly major, and if they haven't found video evidence by now then I can't imagine it's there to be found.
