La Confora: NFL quarterbacks doctoring footballs is nothing new

And the same guy last night posted the rigged stuff in the baltimore game. All these guys are bums.

Or maybe this guy got a bit more educated on the subject as he further talked to players and officials and has come around.

Read the article. it is in depth and very persuasive. If you care about the Patriots getting through this as best as possible, you will understand that LaConfora's argument is the way through.

It is possible. Hopefully, these reporters will finally understand and report how much of a non issue this is. This is not cheating and it is not, as the crazy guy from Indy said, fixing the game.

Good article from a national writer that seems to put this issue in a reasonable perspective.
That's because La Canfora will just throw **** at the wall and hope something sticks. If you'r going to throw **** anyway, why not throw all **** you can find to better your odds? I've seen fans of all teams hate La Canfora because he pulls this crap. He'll write his own guesses as if someone important(team source) had said it, or just throw random **** and hopes something sticks.

Super, I can't wait for the court of public opinion and Sheriff Goodell to adopt this reasonable perspective, as well.

"Everybody does it" is an excuse haters don't give a **** about.

Who cares? ESPN is doing the same exact thing they did before SB 42, just watched a small segment where they had Mark Brunell and Jerome Bettis handle 3 Balls, one at regular PSI one over inflated and one underinflated, they guessed right on each one, then both also added that underinflated gives a definite advantage...so there it was a clear judgement on the patriots..of course both Brunell and Bettis have lost to the Patriots in playoff games, so there is no bias.

ESPN clearly has its agenda once again. I ****ing hate ESPN and have boycotted it since spygate....at this point, really thinking about ditching the NFL next year. I also have to wonder how MR Kraft once again feels about being dragged through all of this.

If this IS something BB knows about and has practiced, I am seriously disappointed that he would choose to go down this road considering what we all had to go through with spygate..personally, I am so tired of this kind of crap.

I can stand a public opinion of us thinking we're cheaters. I'm more concerned about what the educated and informed think about us. That's who's opinions matter the most here in swaying.

So Bettis and Burnell can tell with no issues but not one ref did anything the entire first half.

Something doesn't add up.

I don't care about the haters one bit. In fact I relish it. What I don't want is any picks taken away or suspensions. The more that comes out publicly about how minor this is the less likely it will result in a major sanction.

lol those fans are a fringe minority in a sport primarily celebrated by drunken meatheads

Because if you wan`t to keep your job with ESPN and if you already had ill will from losing, you can easily get on board with a segment that defiles a Team you already dislike. Lets be honest, ESPN lives on BUZZ and ratings, not actual journalistic integrity, if they had any integrity they would have investigated spygate thoroughly and found out how it all worked and thus gave the Patriots an advantage or maybe they would have found out it was the biggest NON story ever, but all they ever did was keep talking about it and making them out to be the Evil Empire.

Now, here we are again, you think they will investigate thoroughly? Its much better to entertain and work up the haters into a frenzy cause they make more money off of it. Integrity as it applies to a Football Team(or just the Patriots really) is made out to be of the highest importance, yet whan it comes to how they do their own Jobs? Integrity is no-where to be found.

ESPN......Lets bring in mostly ex players and coaches that hae lost to the Patriots to discuss this topic...good times indeed.

No kidding. These "insiders" are nothing but fantasy-league poindexters that grow up without understanding the nuances of the sport they cover. Their knowledge is at best very parochial and lacking any depth in surfacing the subtleties of the game and the league.

It's a good read but LaConfora is still a nerdball that wasn't loved enough as a kid and needs to spew out attention-grabbing fairy tales.

Maybe a decent read but screw him how does he even draw a comparison between this and bountygate? As Zolak put it this a a big non story, biggest non story in sports history imo....

The true headlines should read
"Tom Brady likes to throw a sleightly under inflated football"

Unfreakingbelievable....

Don't worry about Bum Kisser Bob.
He will never look worse than he did defending Goodell over the Ray Rice fiasco.
