I was studying for a exam last night when this news started to come up in every place, it's all over the internet now, twitter, memes, etc..all in a bad way. No matter how the Pats gets out of this, it's blurred. I could not even study anymore, this has a bad taste in my mouth. If I'm feeling like this, imagine the players. I hope the locker room is stronger than I thought and that Belichick pulls a motivation speech with no precedents in history, because I felt this would be a blowout, that we could beat them in every phase of the game, now this sucks, it's all the Seahawks needed.

Considering what rodgers said that he always tries to get over inflated past the officials , it ispossible all crews dont weigh all the balls with an instrument thought I doubt any crew would not do it before a AFCCG.

If walt anderson and his crew comes out and says "we checked the balls before the game and they were fine" and suspected that they were tampered afterwars (i.e., the reason for the refs inflating the balls at halftime) the pats are screwed. Walt Anderson is the key guy here.
Here's the key, it's not his usual crew, it's an All-Star crew. Let's suppose it's the LJ who usually checks it on his crew or the umpire on Hochuli's crew or the Side Judge on Steratores. Put together an All-Star crew and it could easily have been one of those " I thought you were going to" and they may inspected the balls but not checked them for psi.....

But the Colts noticed them being low on the sideline-- and I doubt they magically go right back immediately when brought inside for weighing.

Again they weren't being weighed. The difference in WEIGHT between the amount of AIR in a football at 11 & 12.5 PSI is well under an ounce gases don't weigh a lot.

I cant imagine that if they had pregame psi results that they wouldn't have been released along with the halftime results .

So ESPN's top story this morning is their "source" saying 11 out of 12 balls underinflated. NFL AM's top story, Xs and Os discussion on the match-up with Randy Moss and Eric Davis talking about Blount having issues running the ball vs the Seattle front 7. Nice sources BSPN, or did NFLN just decide to quit covering the sour grapes story.

NFLN is owned by the NFL and was probably instructed not to run the story until the official report comes out.

Not a troll. Sorry you disagree with my point of view.

So non troll newbie, what about the most likely scenario Anderson inspected the 11 psi balls and allowed them until Jackson and the Dolts made a stink.

BTW perhaps Jackson did the Pats a favor after the balls were 'corrected' at halftime Brady immediately goes 8-8 with and the Pats score 21 pts that qtr. :D

I do not really understand all the science stuff being talked about but if that is accounted for and Anderson claims the pregame inspection was done correctly then I think the punishment should be harsh. There does not need to be video evidence.
Bye, bye. It was short, but not so sweet.

Reasonable theory, then it is possible that the balls were submitted at 11 psi and were allowed because some latitude is given to the QB to have a ball the QB likes. Rogers above 13.5 psi, Brady below 12.5 psi, Manning above ect.

The problem for the NFL is that due to the Dolts and Isray p*ssing in everybody's Cheerios the NFL may have to make everyone use brand new ball.QB will be throwing slick new balls the QB's will not be happy.

Law of unintended consequences.

When did they stop the game and take a gameball out of play? Was it before or after halftime when they checked the pressure?

Including the nfl is angry and distraught ?

Everything...."the NFL is angry & distraught" my arse.

Lol

Hypothetically speaking if the Pats did intentionally do this. How in the world will it be proven? The NFL would need concrete evidence to nail us to the cross! I guess this isn't going away no time soon. **** is about to get ugly!

It's air pressure in balls, this isn't tampering, paying off refs or stealing play books....fugg'n air pressure!

It certainly isn't worth staying up late at night for, that's fa sho!

maybe this happened ?
“You can’t do anything with the footballs in terms of any artificial, whether you’re heating them up, whether it’s a regular game ball or kicking ball. You can’t do anything to the football,” Blandino said at the time. “So that was noticed during the game, both teams were made aware of it during the game, and we will certainly remind the clubs as we get into more cold weather games that you can’t do anything with the football in terms of heating them up with those sideline heater

If we are found guilty of deflating the balls, then BB needs to be fired. Sorry to say, but if we are caught, then he needs to go. this is just plain embarrassing.

You're out of your mind. We don't care what other fans think, so why would you want to let go the best coach in history? He's not going to be fired and you can not feel embarrassed about this.

I say lock him up for another 10 years!

That makes no sense in the wind, I doubt a deflated ball allows for a better spiral in rainy and windy conditions and Brady is known for his tight spirals that cut through the wind.

I don't nothing makes sense other than this for me: Unless someone admits to removing air from the balls or they have video of a Pats employee sticking a needle in a ball on the sideline then they can't do ****. Because Walt can say I inspected and tested the PSI before the game, but how do we know if he isn't covering his own ass? And alternatively telling the truth...which gets to the crutch of it, no one knows and both could be telling the truth and it could be the hot air theory, could be from the cold weather, could be a broken PSI gauge the ball boy used. But I do know that I have never watched a football game and wondered "hmmm do you think both teams are playing with correctly inflated balls"....dumbest thing ever.

2 pounds or even 1.5 psi doesn't add up with the physics. The pressure wouldn't drop that much assuming a 30 degree difference between outside and inside....it was a warm evening for this time of year.

The Patriots save will be if the refs messed up.
I suspect that they were keeping the balls warm pre-game (like the Vikings and Bengals were during the game). Easy to wind up with a 30 degree difference that way.
