Someone in another thread mentioned that the 12th ball doesn't have the same lower PSI as the other 11 balls because it is the Kicking ball. So if they somehow did this, they wouldn't lower the PSI in the kicking ball because lower PSI means the ball won't go as far.

Gotta admit that does make sense. I hope none of this is true. :(

Kicking ball is separate from the regular playing balls. Each team also submits 3 or 4 kicking balls. Someone let me know if I'm wrong.

Unless they have clear evidence(vid, witnesses) that the Pats were involved with this. The only thing that should be done is a rule change regarding the security and Psi measurement procedures.

Exactly! Show the world video proof of the patriots deflating footballs.

You're right, it has been going both ways, and while the NFL in no way is the US legal system, I'm on the side of "innocent until proven guilty", and the "fans" are using an out of context tweet to prove our guilt.

I'm just displeased with how fast our teams own supposed fans will bury the team when they literally know nothing about what has or hasn't happened, as the actual investigation is still ongoing and hasn't released its findings.

I hear you.

Kravitz wants Belichick suspended from the Superbowl then fired by Kraft, LMFAO do you know how many teams would can their coach in nanosecond and hire Bill.
Even effing Iray would.
EFF you Kravitz I really want to egg this guys house lol.

For the record, re: the hot air theory, if you want a ball at 11 PSI gauge at 50°F to have a pressure of 13 PSI gauge, the air inside would need to be heated to about 92°F at the time they were measured.

I would think that if the footballs were that warm, the refs would notice.

I'm not rushing to judgement but based on what we know so far it's not good.

If it plays out like it seems to be playing out then no matter how insignificant the impact on the actual outcome of the game it validates the 'If they cheated before they're probably cheating again' thing people have said about our success after 2007.

Which, as a fan, has me infuriated. This was finally the year where we would be able to say "Rings after Spygate: 1 more than Peyton Manning"

It's not as bad as cheating the cap. It's not as bad as paying people to injure other players. But it's still bad if true.

And considering the microscope this team is constantly under it would be mindblowingly stupid to have done on purpose knowing at any time a player on the other team could figure it out.

I will wait till the report is complete but its not looking good at the moment.

What are you even talking about? We're talking about balls that were inflated hours before, not years ago. Do you really not understand this simple concept that a ball can lose pressure without "leaking" air? Maybe I should dumb it down to first grade next time then.
No, you've brought the conversation down enough thanks. Although your explanation was terrific. Now I know all about molecules. Gold star for you now but I'm afraid I have little time for you now so thanks.

The reality is simple. If the balls start off at 13.5, what conditions need to happen for the ball to reach 11 by half time.

Was it even possible in the conditions that existed. Assuming the balls weren't faulty.

Yea well Kravitz can go suck a bag of ****s, catch aids and DIACF for all i care.

Ravens don't want to stick their neck in this business.

they have issues on their team that they don't need kraft using his pull to have punished for

Notice, maybe. But what could they do about it? There doesn't appear to be a rule regulating temperature

Nice try.

The reality is if the footballs start off at 12.5 psi, what conditions need to happen for the ball to reach 11 by halftime.

The press is already exaggerating by using the 2 psi number instead of 1.5 psi which doesnt sound as heinous.. and here you are wanting to make it 2.5

Of course Belichick submitted footballs at the minimum PSI needed on a rainy day.. NOT the maximum.

We are going to the Super Bowl but it doesn't feel like it. I just hope the league is quick in the investigation so we can move on. We should be happy and celebrating right now.

I'm sure given Brady's preference for a softer ball, your starting psi should be 12.5. That's around a 1.5psi drop in a few hours - no idea how possible that is.

Nice try? It was an error dude.
