How much of an idiot is bill for doing this? He gets too much of a pass.Seriously we say here how we shouldnt bring in a specific player due to his behavior and these guys pulled this stunt out.Its a joke.

He should be telling him he has til 10am ET tomorrow to schedule a press conference exonerating the Patriots of any wrongdoing and awarding them the Colts first-round pick (plus the Jets for the tampering thing) or he's going to go scorched earth on the commissioners office and pull out of the Super Bowl, choosing instead to line up a panel of all pro QBs explaining the various ways in which they "prepare their balls" for top performance in his NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE. This is to be followed by Coach Belichicks lecture on the various ways ALL NFL coaches "creatively" use the rule book to their advantage, as well as a detailed analysis of steroid use and concussion research in the NFL.

I would demand he do it now before the morning shows get a hold of it.

Troy Vincent from the NFL responded to the report, basically not confirming nor denying anything, saying "the investigation is currently underway and we are awaiting the findings. "

This whole thing is probably the dumbest headline I've ever seen, and the media's desperate need to make sure their outlet is the first to report anything close to a "fact", scurrying around like Lemmings, is both hilarious and disgusting. I feel like for any other team or at any other time this would be a complete non-issue. If that idiot Colts writer hadn't leaked this the league may very well have done an investigation with no one knowing or caring, or at least with it starting from an impartial position.

If people are this obsessed with the Patriots' meticulous adherence to the rules I'm surprised they don't call for draft picks and suspensions every time we commit a defensively holding penalty.

My guess is that Brady likes a softer ball, and the Pats routinely inflate their balls to the minimum level, use hot air, or even under-inflate them and count on the refs not catching it. Other teams inflate their balls based on their own QBs preferences.

I suspect this has been common practice in the NFL and has been going on for a long time, but since the Colts decided to raise a stink about it, and it is the Pats, this is made into a major issue.
I'm highly confident this is exactly what happened. It's why bb and tb were so taken aback it was probably standard operating procedure.

So when did NFL announce Bill did it?

Trying to stay optimistic here, but this is a bad turn of events. Best case is that we submitted the balls at or near the minimum pressure and they lost pressure as they cooled. That's what I'm hoping for, but "angry, disappointed, and distraught" reactions don't bode well. I hope the NFL is mad at their own guys...

what's that in kilopascals?

I don't know why this would matter—since the relative change in pressure does not depend on the units involved—but 29.8 inches Hg = 100.9 kPa; 29.56 = 100.1 kPa.

Last football coach to get caught doing this was Lane Kiffin at USC. Blamed it on a rouge ballboy.

There was talk last week that BB learned the unusual formations the Patriots used last week against the Ravens from Nick Saban. Nick Saban's Offensive coordinator at Alabama is now Lane Kiffen.

I want to hear from the refs. What was the pressure before, at halftime, and after the game? NFL better hope they have an answer better than, "uhhhh,we're not exactly sure"

Can Saul Goodman get us out of this?

Wrong character to go to in this case. I think it's more likely that Jesse solves this problem.

Aaron Rodgers admitted he over inflates balls, where is the national outrage against him?

Let's pretend that we aren't absolutely sure BB did this. You know, let's just go all crazy and pretend that evidence matters. Maybe we could use words like "if", even though several of our board's defenders of the faith don't seem to grasp the import of the concepts behind "if".

Or......

We could just throw him down a well. If he floats, he's a witch (warlock), and we'll burn him!

Aaron Rodgers the face of the league has admitted he over inflates balls, where is the national outrage against him?
I've been asking this for days!
Can we please get the media to pick this up.

That's for that 4th grade physics lesson but anyone who has stored a ball for a long time knows, they leak some air. Put a ball down and leave it for a year in your shed and tell me it doesn't leak. My point was, that the rate would be too fast without major defect (assuming measured at the same temp).
You're missing his point. The pressure goes down without air leaking. No one said that 7% of air is leaking. No air leaked. Pressure still goes down.

And no its not measured at the same temp. They inflate the balls in the locker room not in the rain outside.

This might be the most watched Super Bowl of all time at this rate.

A team in the biggest game, accused of cheating, for a second time, this time, only a week and a half before the big game.

This is really unprecedented.

This would be like the Patriots releasing Julian Edelman immediately after he was arrested.

Where you get that quote of mine in your post #2294? I don't recall posting any such thing.

DI, you must have missed the reports proving the teams guilt during this already completed investigation that had no premature out of context information leaked to the media!

What are you even talking about? We're talking about balls that were inflated hours before, not years ago. Do you really not understand this simple concept that a ball can lose pressure without "leaking" air? Maybe I should dumb it down to first grade next time then.
