If this ends up being on BB, then he has really messed up this time.

I can't fathom what would make him risk losing draft picks again other than the fact that he is crazy.

Like Barry Bonds crazy because he doesn't need to "cheat"

I don't understand why the Bill would possibly do this with a run heavy game plan. If there is no reasonable explanation, I will not be able to defend it.

I can't imagine it was done just for this game. If they did it at all, it would be an ongoing thing, I'd have to think.

Mike Petraglia @Trags
An official NFL ball is 13 psi. According to @mortreport the 11 balls came in at 11 psi

If this is correct, that's a LITTLE better as it's 11 compared to the low of 12.5 (13 is the average of the allowable range).

How is such info leaked before investigation is completed ? So many variables we don't know yet . Not the most encouraging 1st results of inquiry . With all the running the Pats did, I would think the Pats balls would be more deflated at end compared to Colts. If this was measurement when refs 1st checked then its on the refs. The Psi can only go down during the game.

So did the refs not do their jobs, or was there actually an inside job?

Isn't a NFL ball boy in charge of the balls once the game starts? And I have a hard time believing someone could get away with removing air from 11 balls during the game, especially with the 40+ cameras that a broadcast station brings.

Also, i hope someone has grabbed the balls the Colts were using for comparison. It's the ****ing basic scientific method that you need a controlled variable to compare to. You can't just assume (well, I guess the NFL can)

If they punish the Patriots for this, shouldn't they punish Rodgers for being over the psi requirement? Double standard I say.

No, doing so is easy, almost every pump you buy has a gauge. The hard part it not getting caught. It'd be really damn obvious that a ball boy was doing this.

It means that the officials approved the balls before the game without properly checking them or this is the result of wear and tear.

Or NE picked the lock on the storage room and did it before they were given to the ballboy.

Wow, this doesn't look good.

Hypothetically speaking if the Pats did intentionally do this. How in the world will it be proven? The NFL would need concrete evidence to nail us to the cross! I guess this isn't going away no time soon. **** is about to get ugly!

Why leave one ball at normal weight? Trying to be optimistic, but is it possible that ball didn't make it into game action?

The Patriots supplied the Patriots ball boy.

Please just a fine. If Belichick gets suspended or some insane penalty like forfeiting the SuperBowl - I would never watch a football game ever again.

So what's the excuse if the Pats beat the Seahawks in the SB with properly checked balls......

Our team is so ****ing good on the field....Bill stop ****ing with our reputation off the damn field.

Let the players on the field do the ****ing talking.

This **** pisses me off. We the fans have to deal with this crap because our coach always has to push the unnecessary rules.

Ugh.

Someone should investigate how this stuff leaks out of NFL headquarters like a sieve before there is even a conclusion! Also all the haters heads will explode if we get a 25k fine!

If found guilty, this would absolutely put an "asterisk" to any Super Bowl victory... people won't give the Patriots the credit they deserve, now.

This could very well be the case like the broncos under McDaniels when a low level employee taped 49ers tape abd bought to him and he dismissed it. Maybe some employee here did it on his own and has been doing it.

Right. I posted earlier, given what Rodgers says, my best guess is Brady prefers balls underinflated so thats what they always submit and since no one really cares about the PSI the refs probably are just going through the motions and never care.

If I'm Pats, I'm getting out ahead of this and saying those are the balls we submitted, we didn't touch them, we didn't do anything. Refs approved them. Case closed.

Unless that's not the case, which is a big problem. If they were caught routinely deflating balls, I mean that's pretty much that.

Well that's not happening, they'll get better ratings than ever now. And they want their money.
