This makes all the difference in the world if true. At least in terms of how I view this whole thing. It's one thing if, intentionally or not, they were given to the officials at a certain inflation level or if they were surreptitiously deflated after the officials examined them.

Were they 2 PSI too low during the game? That doesn't bother me too much, given the temp-related pressure loss already discussed.

Or were they 2 PSI too low when measured at indoor temps after the game? That would Not Be Good.

In the large scheme of things the PSI in the balls doesn't effect much, but now we once again have to deal with the god damn perceptions?

Feels like something bigger is in play here especially after Rodgers comments.

Do the refs just overlook the rulebook for certain QBs and let the top guys use any ball in any style they want? Did this come from the league to promote their all-offense-no-defense philosophy?

We don't know if this was intentional, but if it is then it's a pretty absurd thing to do. This was a team we have owned for a while. We didn't need this meaningless "advantage."

If they do find that it was intentional, Bill may not coach a game in 2015. Not to mention this will be a distraction for the remainder of this season.
