2015 Senior Bowl Participants

Watching the coverage:

1. Love Zach Hodges' length. He looks really good in terms of build

2. Falling back in love with Abdullah. Think he's an upgrade on Shane Vereen.

3. Jeff Luc, a Cincinnati LB, is 268lbs. He runs pretty well for that size

Manx your Harvard guy doesnt like the sandbags it seems :(

Thankfully there aren't any on a football field :)

He's going to look raw but he could be an upside guy at linebacker.

Hardison just smoked Robert Myers

Edit: But got stoned by Clemmings.

Henry Anderson, Laken Tomlinson, Carl Davis, Jamil Douglas, Max Garcia standing out.

Based upon day one and trading around the draft board, something like

1. Odighizuwa
2. Carl Davis
3. Ameer Abdullah
4. Jamil Douglas/Laken Tomlinson

would be a nice get.

One thing with Abdullah though: he fumbles a little (16 in 4 yrs). Although he's said to have elite character to go with his football skills.

And that's my one concern with him. But I believe those numbers have dropped year on year so that's a positive sign. Definitely something that needs to be considered though.

I'm likin' Laken for Day 3

Not to rain on your parade - and this is NOT specific to Odighizuwa - but I take Senior Bowl practices with a grain of salt. They are useful, but not a substitute for tape. There have been guys like Sedric Ellis who parlayed dominant Senior Bowl performances into high draft pick status, and never lived up to it. I doubt Odighizuwa falls into that category, but I'm personally cautious about getting to carried away by a few days of 1-on-1's.

Nebraska ran an option offense and some of those fumbles were due to late pitches from the QB. When Martinez was there he was notorious for pitching the ball steps from the boundary and when a defender was already on abdullah. He does fumble some but not all of them are on him.

Very impressed with wr Coates of auburn. The suddenness, speed and size are impressive. But the hands need a lot of work.

Still what an asset he could be in our offense if he gets over those catching woes.

I think that you can find equally good WR's lower that what Coates will be drafted. I would rather have Lockett in the 3rd over Coates in the 1st or 2nd.
