Mr Kraft, The Time has Come To Ask: Whose Side Are You On?

I still think it's funny we're 48 hours in and they think it will need another 2-3 days. Let's see, list of things to do: Interview ref and ball boy.....and....that's it
I can see the Commissioner- "Hey, you guys do that one thing to complete the investigation yet?"

"No boss, not yet"

Commissioner: "Well it's been two days, how long will it take for you to do that one thing? Here, I'll let you borrow my phone and you can do the interview right now on FaceTime."

"Yeah.... We're gonna need another two to three days to do that. We're sorta busy with shark week reruns"
Now wait just a minute. There's a whole other thing they should also do which you completely forgot about. Remember, the ball itself could be defective. So they need to inflate it to the league standard psi range, then submerge it in some water while squeezing it slightly to see if any air is escaping from the ball. That alone can't be done in less than a week. They must have a team of 250 going balls to the wall so to speak to get it done in 5 days.

Ummmm..... the Mankins, Seymour and Welker "trades' (one was not a trade, btw) all happened to work out pretty damn well for the New England Patriots.

It wouldn't take a 'media stooge of Kraft' to write that each one had a lot of merit to it.

Everyone except the complete delusionals can see that the Mankins and Welker transactions are already turning out as big winners for the Patriots long-term........and we all loved Big Sey, but he never turned Oakland into a winning team and was watching from his couch Sunday night as the draft pick we got for him scored a "tackle eligible" TD in the AFCCG. ;)
Right...but the national media skewered the pats on all accounts...and the Kraft's countered by leaking to scheftee & mortensen....

Whaaaat???????

What did the Krafts leak to Schefter and Mortensen?

I owe @Rob0729 credit - he said it would be resolved swiftly, and this thing should be wrapped up by Friday, according to the latest. I wouldn't call that swift, IMO, but its certainly before the big game.

We'll see - I saw several assume that the only reason the NFL has a team in place is because one of the Patriots balls showed up deflated. I do not consider this a safe assumption. The NFL cares about the perception of due diligence, they probably know the facts by now, but ruling too quickly - especially if no punishment is doled out - would not be well received. The NFL would take a hit on that.

I am still expecting very little to come of it (especially given there is already a rule in place suggesting a 25k fine) but the NFL has botched simpler situations, and its punishments have been arbitrary, so who knows.

I'm sorry if I am not an expert on your writings on a message board.
The topic here was Kraft making a public statement, and my comment was making a public statement without the facts is usually a bad idea.
You responded with 'how did that work out in 2007' (going from memory here, don't blow a gasket if I dont have it exactly right, I'm not going back through this boondoggle of thread)
So naturally I assumed we were still talking about the same topic.
So I am confused what you are trying to say.

If you are now saying he should demand the investigation to end before the SB, the league has said it should.
I'm confused at what your complaint is now.

For whatever reason, you are making a very simple thing too difficult for yourself.

All you have to do is read the OP. I have not strayed from that one iota throughout. It's very easy.
Your last part is hilarious:

"If you are now saying he should demand the investigation to end before the SB, the league has said it should.
I'm confused at what your complaint is now"

As in the OP, my point is the same THEN as it is NOW. Nothing has changed (even though you somehow think it has).

1) No need for some public rant by Kraft to defend the Patriots. It would be moot.

2) He should use his considerable influence with the league to demand a thorough and TIMELY investigation (no letting it fester for 4+ weeks through and beyond the Super Bowl).

3) Without a PUBLIC and CLEAR finding by the league that closes the book on this issue (whether it is FOR or AGAINST the Patriots - - let the truth come out unequivocally) BEFORE the Super Bowl, then the Patriots and their fans are being screwed.

The league saying "Oh yeah, we wrapped up the investigation, but we won't tell the public our findings until March" doesn't cut it.

That is as clear a summary as you can read, Andy. I don't imagine you can screw that up again.

In the end, here's a cold, hard fact for you:

67 people had no problem clearly understanding and agreeing with the OP.

You and "Darrone" have a problem with it.

It is what it is.

If this isn't a reckless accusation by an Owner than nothing is. Why can't we ask for redress from the league for this Owners malice. Especially in light of the obvious economic loss in merchandise and reputation that results from this.

I posted early on in the Sunday Game Thread that Irsay was tweeting like a stoner (and that Indy was having lots of distractions like missed flights, etc. - prior to the game starting). Irsay is a league problem.

Kraft ........ maybe, he has a plan. Maybe, he knows the outcome of at least Deflate-gate. Maybe that's why he's silent ...... it better be, defending ourselves is a necessity. I'd go after Irsay if I was either the NFL Offices or Kraft.

I've been swayed into thinking that not saying anything is the most prudent course of action. I can live with 2-3 more days. But if/when we are exonerated, I hope Kraft doesn't pull any punches. Because this bullsh*t witch-hunting has to stop.

Still no word from Bob Kraft.

Unfortunately, push has come to shove and the time has come to hit BK right in the bank account. I propose that NEP fans boycott all Kraft products until Bob steps up and delivers a statement. Macaroni and Cheese, Salad dressings, Ritz, Chips Ahoy (gonna miss you). The whole line up.

Who among you will join the cause?

You know Bob Kraft has nothing to do with Kraft Foods right?

You go first, Champ.

If the league wraps up its investigation AND publically answers all questions from it in 2-3 days, then I'm fine with that.

what's our job?...lay in the street and take it up the azz from the 31 other fanbases as they sh!t all over our team in the media?

Thanks but no thanks Bob...it's clear you and your other 31 billionaire buddies think these dog and pony show controversies are great for business. This is one fan who doesn't. This is one fan who isn't going to sit here quiet, like a good little consumer, while you play the stoic mute and let near brain dead media sub-mongoloids blabber on incessantly like crack addled junkies bobbing for vials.

Ref have balls at half----->balls given to ballboys---->controversy fueled by drug addict drunk owner------>immediate call in state police investigators and grill ballboys, offer polygraphs, get answers right then. Period. This Goodell bullshyt show is yet another insult to any NORMAL person's intelligence.

Kraft, DO YOU JOB and fight for your freaking fans/team a little more.

Last year at this time I remember posting that Kraft should have stood up for his coach when Belichick accused the Broncos and Wes Welker of intentionally trying to hurt Aquib Talib. He didn't, and the NFL swept it all under the rug in a nanosecond, but now it's going to take days of investigation to determine whether game officials are so inept that they allowed the Pats to play with under inflated balls that they inspected before the game and controlled throughout it. wow!
