Also, people need to ask themselves, how and what did the pats drop the pressure to? The standard is 12.5-13.5. What did they drop it to, 11? 10? 9? And how and where? And anybody ever throw an under-inflatted ball? It sucks. And in the wind?

I'm not asking about anything. I'm too busy laughing.

Can you recap the conversation please?

Sure. According to Rosenberg some people think that Belichick has towel boys stealing playbooks, but he won't say if anyone has ever told him that but he thinks that some people think that. He also says that Belichick circumvented the rules by following the rules against the Ravens. He doesn't know what rule they broke but really didn't think it was very nice of Belichick to do that without telling the Ravens what he was going to do first, as Pete Carroll did when he texted Mike mcCarthy that he was about to run a fake FG before he ran it.He also believes that Kraft's relationship with Led Moonves led to favorable scheduling for them, but was unable to actually give an example of it because the season has only been over for 3 weeks, not enough time to really provide an example.

On the other hand there are some people who think that Michal Rosenberg is a drug addict who makes things up to get space at SI, while others believe that he not only a liar but also has a history of alcohol abuse. I can't really say who they are only that there are whispers to that effect. At the same time there are rumors that Micheal Rosenberg is only writing this because his secret gay lover is a Jets fan who is angry the Patriots filed tampering charges and is blackmailing him to make **** up about the Patriots or he will out him to his wife. Now those are just rumors but that doesn't mean they aren't true, in fact the same thing happened to Jim MacGreavey and he had to resign as NJ governor, so the likelihood that the same is true for Rosenberg is obviously very high. All told this is just the tip of the iceberg in the Rosenberg scandal, there are many more whispers and unsubstantiated rumors yet to explore.

Just sayin....

BB realized we would kill the colts...so he tried to provide us a disadvantage and make ours flat...alas it was nowhere nearly enough to even the playing field

My understanding is that Jackson, the player who intercepted the ball, did not notice that the ball was deflated. Apparently, the ball somehow made it to the equipment manager who made that judgment and passed the information the Pagano and Ryan Grigson, the latter of whom notified the NFL. That's my understanding after trying to piece the different reports together.

I'm not sure why the ball made it to the equipment manager if nobody thought something was wrong before he got a hold of the ball. Does the equipment manager generally hold the ball for a player who made a big play and wants to keep the ball? I can only think that's the case or they were looking for something to complain about.

You are correct. The ball would have been handed to the equipment manager by D'Qwell Jackson because he wanted to keep it as a memento of interceptiing a pass thrown by Tom Brady in the AFCCG. I'd want to keep that ball, too.

That football would be worth a couple of hundred bucks to a collector some day. Now, as the ball that started InflateGate, it's worth millions.

Like both Denver superbowls?

Exactly, this coming from a team that knowingly and deliberately skirted the salary cap. Someone needs to ask them, how's that perennial choker of a QB working out for them lately? Elway tried to "buy" them a Lombardi and failed miserably. Gonna be fun to see how that retread coach (Kubiak), with his illustrious 61-64 record so far gonna work out for them !!!!!

He also believes that Kraft's relationship with Led Moonves led to favorable scheduling for them, but was unable to actually give an example

Ya because anyone looking at the schedule could see that.

Oh wait. From October on with the exception of Chicago they played nothing but division rivals and playoff teams (SD wasn't but they were in the hunt until the last game)

Still say a basic chemistry lesson is in order. Ball goes from 70 degrees (inside where it's measured) to outside 45 degrees it can lose over .5 PSI from PV=nrT.

Which is enough to put it into "deflated" category.

That would explain why it affected multiple balls.

Occam's razor anyone?

The other possibility is that ball boys secretly let air out in just the right amount. Or the balls were spirtited away by Pats coaches who did the same. Seems hard to believe in front of a gazillion cameras.

There is a chain of custody aspect to this. So the Colts keep the ball. Who knows what they did to the ball in their custody.

This is totally awesome. Might be the best post I've ever read on this site.

I was wondering about the same thing. What was done to the ball in the 10 + minutes it was in colts possession?? why it was not turned over to officials immediately?

There is some talk around some campfires that Rosenberg has a penchant for pedophilia too...there is no solid proof of it but there have been some whispers.
This is like total political campaign Against BB.

The ball that was sent in would be the one they took at the start of the second half, not the supposed offending ball.

Reading Kravitz's site, he claims that other sites are conforming the story - when in reality those sites are just repeating what he said. The guys is full of such BS that it is ridiculous. If the Pats accept this crap and incur any fine, I think I will lose some respect for Kraft for allowing this stuff to tarnish the team.

Yup. I have an old football that I leave outside literally all year. When I'm out in the yard once in a while I'll just pick it up and toss it across the yard; an Uncle Rico thing, you know? ;) Anyway, I have NEVER put a pump to that ball since I bought it. But its internal air pressure varies immensely according to the weather. On a warm day that thing is bulging, tight. In the colder weather just a little grip is enough to get an indent.

Thought we would get some more clarity this morning. I just want this nonsense to end already...

At this stage, the whole thing is becoming funny. The worst that could happen is a 25k fine? With so many people making fun of this, the sting is no longer there. If anything, Indy comes out worse because they all sound like whiners and crybabies now.

I really hope the coaching staff and the management at Indy use this whole thing as an excuse to fix NOTHING. Gives the Patriots another gimme game next year or two.

I caught part of the Dennis and Callahan show this a.m. and they had the SI columnist on. They shredded him though a lot of it was self-inflicted. "WEll, I'm not saying they do these sorts of things, just that others think they might." "So do YOU believe they did these things?" "Well, first you have to ask this question then you have to ask this questions (never really answered the question)." Dope.

Haven't read the story but heard enough to say this: Reverse the roles. Say the "story" is about how protective Bill Belichick is about his team and its secrets. The likely response? "Belichick is paranoid."
