Here's a happier thread than the other one I posted about a certain SB.

Not counting AV's kicks I would have to go with Ty Law's pick 6 hands down. All the talk was how the Greatest Show on Turf were going to beat the tar out of the overmatched Patriots... and THAT play was one big loud statement to the whole world.... NOT TODAY!

Brady's 50 yard bomb to Branch near the end of the first half in SB 38 was kinda awesome too....

Rodney's INT to seal the deal in SB 38

Does McNabb tossing his cookies count?

The cross to Troy Brown on the game-winning drive in SB36.

JR Redmond fighting to get out of bounds just before that.

The next one.

Just kidding. But yeah I'd probably go with Rodney's to seal it vs Philly. Can't go wrong with either of Adam's game winners either.

Ty Law's Pick Six in 2001

For me it's definitely the Vinatieri game-winning field goal against Carolina. That was my first ever football game and the reason why I became a Pats and football fan in general. Watching that game, even though I had no idea what was going on at first, turned out to be one of the best decisions I made in my life. :)

If we are excluding Vinatieri's kicks then the best plays have to be........

1.) Ty Law pick six - Defensive TDs are always thrilling b/c they are unexpected and absolute game changers. This TD put the Pats ahead and got most Pats fans thinking "wait a minute, we might be onto something here"

2.) SB 38 - third down conversion to Deion Branch on game winning FG drive. This conversion was the difference between OT and VICTORY.

3.) David Givens TD vs Eagles - Pats were losing. Givens was at least the 3rd read on the play but Brady eventually found him.

Unpopular but I'll give my favorite plays from losing Super Bowls as well...........

1.) SB 31 - Bledsoe bomb to Terry Glenn on third and short against the Pack.

2.) SB 46 - Woodhead TD rec. It's an absolute shame they lost his game b/c if they win this entire drive at the end of the first half could arguably be one of the greatest drives in SB history. Pats trailing 9-3 at backed up inside their own 10 with 4 min left in the half, the announcers were even saying the Pats main goal should be to run out enough clock to prevent the Giatns from scoring again. Instead, the Pats march down the field, get a TD, and are suddenly winning going into the half at 10-9.

On a Similar note SB36 was the first football game I ever fully watched and turned me into a Pats fan. I was 13 at the time and girl with no interest in sports so I had no clue what was going on during the game. Just happened to walk into the room where my dad was about to watch the game. He told me that the Rams would win and I argued with him how he could possibly know that. I remember him going on a long tangent about how they were a better team and the best in the league. I told him the Patriots must be good too because they were in the Superbowl as well. He said there was no chance they would win and said he'd give me $20 if the Patriots won. I obviously said okay and watched that game in its entirety, got my $20, and became a Pats fan for life.
