It's just my opinion. I think if anything like that was happening, it is my opinion, nothing would take place without BB knowing.

He has already put all those accolades in the past in jeopardy. It was against the rules to continue Spygate, and he did. It was blatant. The fact it was blatant disobedience is why he was punished.

But we're talking about the idea that a coach with BB's accolades, track record and regard for his and his teams place in history would happily use cheating tactics simply as a means to an end. I suppose a coach could coach that way but I don't see it in this case.

Spygate happened because BB took that memo and interpreted it his own literal way, specifically the words "in game" in order to get any possible edge for his team - the latter being something any great coach would do. It was more complex than "blatant disobedience". I'm sure he wishes he made a different decision, as we all do.

This has become an SNL skit played out in real life, who knows what we'll be accused if we win the SB...

How do you he didnt make any moves to make sure it didnt happen again ? Are you seriously accusing them of doing this over and over behind the scenes even after that ?

Well...uhm..the easiest move to make is to fire BB and he didn't. I am not making any accusations against our Pats specifically. I believe all teams cheat behind the scenes. I'm accusing them of possibly getting caught again.

Go ahead and enjoy it, I want to enjoy wins without this garbage. Seriously, football has to be the biggest crybaby sport in existence, you never hear crybaby ******** like this after a hockey game or series.

I am enjoying it... a lot.

You haven't paid attention to the Montreal Canadiens if you don't think there's crying in hockey. Losers do it in all sports, and since the Pats win so much we hear more of it.

Getting all worked up because of nonsense like this is like getting upset when you're accused of cheating on your wife, even though you didn't. It makes you look guilty.

So much "miss information" or skew of information from one source to another. Was it a single ball replaced? Multiple balls replaced? Did NFL umps really checked the PSI of these balls after the game? etc...

I just want the NFL to do a thorough investigation and put and end to this. Hopefully, by end of week.
I don't think they want this issue to be the focus leading up to the SB.

IMO.

Florio just broke a major story:
TERRY BRADSHAW DEAD

We're picking up some unconfirmed reports from diverse sources that Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw died in a car accident on Thursday.

Florio also blew open the CIA coverup of the McNair murder

If it truly was a double murder, then George probably is right — the crime was committed not by a crazed ex-boyfriend or a jealous soon-to-be-ex-wife, but by someone(s) who gets paid good money to kill people.

Luckily we have the Internet's top rabble rouser on the case

**** the haters. Screw the crybaby fans. Go Cheatriots!

Hearing other franchises wine afterwards makes it all the sweeter, and it does make up for every time we got screwed over.

I would need to know all the details, to draw a conclusion on if the punishments you are talking about were just or not and I don't. But I'm pretty sure the tapes were destroyed so the NFL, and the Patriots could save face as opposed to having them plastered all over the media. Jet's are not the only team getting favors. All teams do at one point or another. We get favors too. Stop being a homer.
Just name one favor the Pats received from Goodell. If you knew anything about football you would know the facts of the other punishments its not a secret. As for the tapes, once a tape was was leaked what more damage could be done to the Pats but a lot of damage could be done to the over reacting commissioner and the other teams especially the Jets who did the same thing. I would advise you to stop being a concern troll and Goodell apologist who without facts believes the worst about the team you are a socalled fan of.

@tomecurran: NFL's Greg Aiello on NFL ball investigation: "It will take as long as necessary so we cannot put a timetable on it. The review is underway."

Exactly. I don't buy the "Well, BB broke the rules with Cameragate, so why are you so sure he wouldn't break the rules here?" argument.

With Cameragate there was a lot of ambiguity and greyness and so a lot of room to convince oneself that one wasn't actually breaking the rule to keep on taping.

There's no such ambiguity here. The football-handling protocol is very black and white -- no one can screw with the balls once they've been given pre-game to the refs.

While I do believe BB looks for every edge, it is hard for me to believe he'd cross a clear line like that, both in terms of how he respects the game of football and because of the incalculable damage he'd be doing to both his and the team's reputations if he was found out.

If it turns out NE was playing shenanigans with the ball, I will be very angry and disappointed. It will only validate the Cameragate haterz (who while still loud had been increasingly being looked at as dismissable whiners as the years have worn on and the Pats have continued to be great). And I'd question if BB would or should survive it in New England.

What? You want the sports media to ask a league source pertinent questions and get them on record? Crazy!

Look, if they look into the rules, or procedures, or facts the whole story might fall apart. And then how will they speculate. Much better to not left facts ruin a good story.

Ok you are justifying the last time he blatantly cheated as not cheating, but he did exactly that. It was a means to a win. That's what it was. And it did end up tarnishing his reputation as far as public perception goes.

I'm justifying it too. Except mine is more blunt. It just makes logical sense, imo. There is nothing to lose except some hypocritical fans whining about another team cheating, when they all do it. Perception and image. Something that is already tarnished anyway.

That is the ONLY real thing at stake here. Nothing else. And I don't think BB gives a **** about that. Profits will go up. Wins will get counted. Trophies will be handed out. Players will make more money. There is no legal repercussion. The NFL's own repercussions, aren't severe enough to deter it.

You want to believe he is accidentally and innocently cheating, and making errors in judgments...and I find it easier to believe it's like everything else we know about him, meticulously calculated and carefully planned. He's not a ****ing idiot. He knows what he is doing.

BREAKING NEWS BREAKING NEWS!!!! NFL HAS ACQUIRED FOOTAGE OF PATRIOTS DT VINCE WILFORK SITTING ON FOOTBALLS BEFORE AND DURING THE GAME, STAY TUNED...

Couldn't agree more.

Oh God, so I'm guessing nothing will be resolved before the SB, even if it turns out to be a complete non-issue? Maybe that's a blessing in disguise because now to avoid this ****fest I'm just going to tune out football matters altogether until Super Sunday, which in turn will prevent me driving myself nuts waiting for the game.

I vote for closing this thread!!!

SERIOUSLY...It's a waste of our time and effort.

And....it will piss off visitors!

I actually agree with you PR, but people keep posting away as if this stuff is a big deal.

So get back to me when it subsides....:p

Again, I do not see a head coach with his track record, knowing damn well his reputation and the implications of getting caught again, happily using cheating tactics as just an everyday part of his job.

I'll even go as far to say if the absolutely worst case scenario comes true, BB is no longer a lock for the hall of fame and quite possibly neither is Brady. Is that something a coach would want to risk? Extremely unlikely.

Is BB arrogant? Yes he absolutely is. But as you said he's not a bleeping idiot.
