Green Bay - 178 passing yards, 4.9 yards/pass, 3 of 14 on 3rd down, 2 INT. And that's with 5 (FIVE) "free" possessions from turnovers. Is New England hat much better than Green Bay? Without 5 freebies?

I am going to say that right now, yes, the Patriots are the better red zone team. For one, their quarterback is playing on two legs, and of course, they have the ultimate red zone weapon in football.

Yes (YES) "yes".

As a Seahawks fan, what do you feel are the Seahawks' weaknesses on defense? Do you like Killer Kam covering TEs?

I think your team will do well against us defensively. But your offense just does not scare me in the least, especially given how our D has been playing since they shook off the rust after the 1st half of the Baltimore game. It'll be something like 24-14 Pats.

Lol I'm a Pats fan. My question was directed the guy I quoted.

Our special teams would have NEVER blown that onside kick. I feel like I can say this with near 100% certainty. I mean, good LORD.

Did Bostick have to walk home? Or did he crawl?
IDK... there's a guy we had from 2007-2012 who definitely dropped a few things in huge playoff games.

And to take it one step further, the ability to score that 2 point conversion (and win the coin toss) were both very big as well.

They were getting so dominated that some of their fans left the game and missed the end. It's all part of the entire 60 min game, but I don't believe that Green Bay was "lucky," having dominated the game for almost 55 minutes.

GB made some terrible mental errors in the end. This really hits home the point you make about a 60 minute game. I don't know if GB was having a case of "stretched nerves" or the hometown crowd was in their heads or something else or maybe busy counting their chickens before they were hatched (so to speak), but how they finished that game up/the mental errors are inexplicable.

My argument is that, ironically, GB may have been the luckier team. Are they even in the game without the freebies?
You cant be serious. Seattle threw those bad INTs , its not like they were all tip drills or like Seattle drove the length of the field and then turned it over, so is it GB being lucky or Seattle being lucky overcoming 5 INTs with an onside kick and hail mary 2 pt conversion. ? I didnt know throwing an INT was called good luck for the other team.
I dont think seattle will play as bad on offense like they did today in the first half but you cant be serious calling GB lucky to be in the game after your team sucked for 3 Qs.

Press man to man on the outside. Collins shadows Wilson. 8 in the box consistently and we should be able to shut them down. If the offense can score 17-20, we bring the Lombardi home.

Do you still feel the same way about seattle as you did a few weeks ago? This is not the same seattle team from last year.

If your team is in the SB, and you're not nervous, they're not "your team".
Nonsense. I don't get nervous, I get excited/pumped. Doesn't make me any less of a fan.

Who the **** is this guy? The Seattle troll?

Have fun trying to match wits with the GOAT coach and QB. Best of luck to you.

I'm freakishly nervous. Then again, im always are when it comes to my pats.

GOPATS.

We match up great with their WRs/TEs. Not worried about that. It's more so the running of Wilson and Lynch that needs to be stopped and what worries me. Lynch can catch passes too!

They have an outstanding defense, no doubt. But they aren't perfect. And they haven't been tested by a an above average QB in over 3 months. (Romo in week 7) Rodgers was extremely average today + wasn't 100%.

Not sure if we've used all our tricks or not, but I think we've also got a secret weapon waiting to be used in Tim Wright.

Jamie Collins in the red-zone/goal-line is something I'd like to see though

I think one big key will be guys like Wright, Vereen, Amendola (who will likely be matched up against "lesser quality defenders" as opposed to Edelman and Gronk who draw the best of them) and having them make nice plays.

Almost like how Rodgers took advantage of Devante Adams and Richard Rodgers against us.

"Free"? GB drove to the Seattle 29 on their first possession but Rodger's was intercepted, that was free right? Or how about the second Rodger's Interception that had GB drive to the Sea 33 before the INT, was that free too? Since "free" is something you otherwise shouldn't have got (the defensive play/oofensive play didn't matter), doesn't GB giving up a free 4 points (for the fake FG that ended up a TD) a free thing too?

Ok since watching the game is less relevant than the box score, here's the full box score picture on the Seattle D: The Green Bay offense/Seattle Defense had 30 rushes for 135 yards (which included multiple clock killing run plays that everyone knew, including Seattle, run plays were coming -- kinda like free negative plays). GB totaled 300+ yards of offense which included those 'free' plays mentioned in the last sentence as well as several short field drives (less yards able to be gained). The box score also includes within it Seattle's D having the ability to 100% ice the game (GB is on their own 20 with only 85 seconds left). Did this 'not beatable, just look at the box score!!' defense get it done?

The Seattle defense and offense playing at home/in front of the 12th man sure showed they cannot be considered "they are beatable". Only chance is if you get 'free stuff' and get lucky too. You sure proved that with your box score and your well thought out definition of the word 'free'.

Very proud of the Pats right now. Just a great effort, and there is no shame if we lose to Seattle, but I think we have a very good shot and can give them a hell of a matchup.
Seattle is probably the best team in football and are freakishly talented all over the place. I'm definitely a little worried about those safeties, Lynch and Wilson's legs, but they should be worried about our raw desire. We'll definitely punch them in the mouth a few times, and Brady is well Brady.

I think its going to be the Patriots-Ravens take 2 and will come down to the wire.

Seattle has given up 13 pts in the 4th Q in the last 8 games...that is impressive.

LOL at Deion Sanders early take, essentially...(to paraphrase)

"The Seahawk WRs and TEs did a great job on them boys of Carolina and Green Bay. Now you get to play MEN. Revis, Browner, McCourty. Good luck."

And he's right. It should be a strength v. weakness situation that NE can limit. Or at least win in a man on man situation and dedicate another body in the box to shut down Lynch, the real strength of their offense. Talent-wise, Lynch is the only guy starting for SEA that absolutely starts over his NE counterpart. Maybe Unger on OL but all things considered 9 or 10/11 ain't bad. And defense...anyone for sure you'd take SEA over NE? Maybe safeties? NE has won at points on coaching over talent. Not the case anymore...those things are coming together over the past year or two. There isn't a serious advantage that Seattle has if you look at it objectively. There's some competitive matchups that could swing the game, but if it's 43-8...Seattle gonna have 8.

Strength against strength matchups aren't what I'll be looking for. The matchup to watch, IMHO, is the Patriot Run D against the Seattle run game. Seattle's run game is clearly a strength. Lynch is very productive and his production makes their passing game much more downhill.
The other watch items for me are:
-Our OL vs Sea Pass Rush. (Can they contain it? Brady with time almost always moves the ball).
-Scoring opportunity conversion. (Obviously Seattle's D is very good -- scoring opportunities are not likely to be abundant like they were against Indy. Will the Patriots being kicking FGs almost every time).
-Physical/trenches. (Seattle is a physical/punch you in the mouth type team. Patriots need to return every punch with a punch of their own).
- Who scores first/who takes the early lead. (Seattle certainly has shown the capability of coming back, however, they haven't shown much in the way of blowing teams out from the get go. An early Patriot lead likely means a fourth quarter that is either a tight game or is leaning noticeably toward the Patriots, ).

Pats have scored 80 points in two playoff games. Have put up points with two completely different game plans. Brady was the only quarterback to play a decent game on Sunday. The offense is peaking at the right time.
Seattle's wide receivers and tight ends are not the quality of other playoff opponents. Our secondary should match up well with them. Lynch is not an unknown. He played for Buffalo for 4 years. I don't recall that the Bills have had much success against Belichick since 2000.
This matchup favors the Patriots, not Seattle.
