Too bad Luck didn't miss the flight.
True. He would be sitting out the first play of their next pre season game if he had.

What the heck. Did Belichick tell him the flight was changed?
Or was Richardson his ride?
did hoody cause this, another trick play?
I hear Belichick called him and told him he was ineligible to fly..
They told TRich he could go, but that he'd have to do it on the ground. As of ten minutes ago he was still just 2.9 yards from where he started.
Have you ever been to Indy? You're not fighting crazy traffic and effed up streets to get to the airport. It is a practically a country road with little traffic and few lights. Unless there was some sort of emergency, making it to the airport on time in Indy should be a breeze. This backup just missed the plane to the most important game (so far) of Chuck Pagano's, and most of the player's careers.Perfectly understandable. He's coming off of the holidays, is probably tired and distracted and knew there would be plenty of other planes he could catch. Not sure why they won't let him play, it's not like he f.cked up or anything. Sounds like Pagano is just being a hard ass.
Some of those are funny. Not much difference than some the comments here.Coujple of comments from Indianapolis message board... amazing how BB gets free rent in their brains.
That leaves us with 3 backup O Linemen to go with 5 starters
1.Harrison
2.Arkin
3.Shipley
Arkin has experience at RT...Though not in the NFL, Harrison and Shipley can both fill in at Guard or Center
LT-Castonzo
LG-Mewhort
C-Holmes
RG-Louis
RT-Reitz
Mewhort can kick out to tackle if he has to. Either side, if necessary.
So if one of their OTs go down in this game, and we cannot generate a half-decent pass-rush, what does that say about our ability to generate a pass-rush...?
bracing for snide responses
That would've been ... Bad Luck!
Coach says plane leaves at 10 am (or whenever). 52 players are on. One can either inconvenience 52 or 1. Maybe if that 1 is vital, say Pagano or Luck, but a second string Tackle?I don't really follow this. I mean aren't these chartered/private team planes? How would it ever be possible to "miss" this kind of flight?
Every flight has a schedule. Even if they all arrive on the same bus, that has a schedule too.I don't really follow this. I mean aren't these chartered/private team planes? How would it ever be possible to "miss" this kind of flight?

I'm assuming Indy is similar to Green Airport in Rhode Island.
