Coujple of comments from Indianapolis message board... amazing how BB gets free rent in their brains.

What the heck. Did Belichick tell him the flight was changed?
Or was Richardson his ride?

did hoody cause this, another trick play?

I hear Belichick called him and told him he was ineligible to fly..

They told TRich he could go, but that he'd have to do it on the ground. As of ten minutes ago he was still just 2.9 yards from where he started.

Nixon finally caught a flight out...

So if one of their OTs go down in this game, and we cannot generate a half-decent pass-rush, what does that say about our ability to generate a pass-rush...?

I don't really follow this. I mean aren't these chartered/private team planes? How would it ever be possible to "miss" this kind of flight?

Perfectly understandable. He's coming off of the holidays, is probably tired and distracted and knew there would be plenty of other planes he could catch. Not sure why they won't let him play, it's not like he f.cked up or anything. Sounds like Pagano is just being a hard ass.
Have you ever been to Indy? You're not fighting crazy traffic and effed up streets to get to the airport. It is a practically a country road with little traffic and few lights. Unless there was some sort of emergency, making it to the airport on time in Indy should be a breeze. This backup just missed the plane to the most important game (so far) of Chuck Pagano's, and most of the player's careers.

A couple more interesting Colts fan posts:
That leaves us with 3 backup O Linemen to go with 5 starters

1.Harrison
2.Arkin
3.Shipley

Arkin has experience at RT...Though not in the NFL, Harrison and Shipley can both fill in at Guard or Center

LT-Castonzo
LG-Mewhort
C-Holmes
RG-Louis
RT-Reitz

Mewhort can kick out to tackle if he has to. Either side, if necessary.

Well, in about 9 hours, I am sure there will be posts like this:

Man, this team absolutely sucks. The defense is pathetic and can't stop anybody. And can't even generate a pass rush against a bunch of jags. We need a real DC. Revis is a bum.

And Brady off, he just can't put two good games together. Why does he keep throwing INTs. The line is terrible. They should have never traded Mankins. Amendola is a bum and Blount just putters around the hole without going threw. I can't take this any more. I can't believe we are going to lose to Indy again!

Lets just hope the Pats are up by 20 when people are saying this (like the usually are! ).

I'm not an expert on Indianapolis traffic, but I assume it isn't like Boston. Were there protests in Indy?

That would've been ... Bad Luck!

I gave you a thumbs up, but boo. That fruit was so low hanging that even I thought of it. :)

Coach says plane leaves at 10 am (or whenever). 52 players are on. One can either inconvenience 52 or 1. Maybe if that 1 is vital, say Pagano or Luck, but a second string Tackle?

Every flight has a schedule. Even if they all arrive on the same bus, that has a schedule too.

Logan is a lot better than what it used to be. It was so bad at one point every time I flew I would take the ferry from Quincy. Relaxing and drops you off right at the airport. I guess it's closed now and you have to take it from Hingham or Hull.

I'm assuming Indy is similar to Green Airport in Rhode Island.

Why would I go to Indy?

I think you are being hard on him, maybe he had stuff to do? Or maybe he wanted to watch the game from the comfort of his living room instead of having to stand for over 3 hours?

I remember driving back across the country from California back to Mass and drove through the interstate in Indianapolis. I distinctly remember driving right past the airport. I mean it was literally adjacent to the highway. It was so close you could see practically every detail inside the jet engine.

Irsay would have dui him over.

That's what the $30k in cash the dude has on him is for!

Well, that, or more prescription pills...

I go to Indy every year. The roads are wide and traffic is light. It's a strange town - several blocks of sparkling high-rise, then nothing. Podunk nothing.

Great restaurants - St. Elmo's! - and a nice area around the gigantic convention center. Decent hotels. I look forward to going there for a week each summer (it's work-related). Always have a good time and the people are welcoming.

One BIG caveat, though: the local TV has like 75 channels of wrinkled old white guys yelling "Jeeeeezzzzussss!" No, really...it's scary batshit stuff.

Isn't there still time to catch another flight?

Wow, how can someone miss the plane to such an important game is beyond me ? If a Pats player did that I shudder to think what BB would do !
