seems like the heavy stuff is due to come later on

At least it's not freezing rain.

For such a big game it would be a shame to see weather related mishaps......an INT due to a receiver slipping, dropped passes by open receivers. It would be a shame if either team were to suffer from these. After all, it's a championship game, it should be both teams at their best facing off against each other.

Was watching NECN weather. Latest reports indicate heaviest rain to start around halftime and second half. Also sounds like tailgating will b less problematic

Tailgating seems like just showers..but like you said 2nd half will be worst

i hope it will change...as i have tested personally the weather change quite soon in NE...;)

good luck my friends...i will be 'listening' you on tv here in Italy in D A R K N I G H T

MAKE NOISE !!!!

go Pats !!!

I am seeing varying wind speed reports at this time.
One says under 10mph.
Another has 13mph with gusts to 24mph.
Hopefully they get those firmed up tonight.

If the reports hold and the heaviest stuff is coming after halftime, that's just another reason to get off to a fast start. As good as Brady is, I don't want him to have to stage another comeback in crappy conditions. Much rather be able to rely on our running game at that point while Luck has to sling it through the sheets.

Will BB actually take the ball if he wins the coin toss based on a deteriorating forecast ?

Easier question to answer: Will we be able to predict what BB does? No, we can't. It's not possible.

Good question.

I bet no based on his previous blasting of weather forecasts and he may still value opening 2nd half posession more than potentially poor weather.

I think he still defers. The crowd at the beginning of the game is going to be nuts, you want that enthusiasm at it's peak while the Colts offense is on the field.

Looks like very low scoring if at all for the Colts the second half. When is the last time they played in any weather?
Tied at half Pats blow em out in the 2nd half.
I can stand it!!!!

Its down to 33 degrees in the PM for Foxborough. The closer we get to game time, the lower the temperature gets however slowly.

Definitely colder than last year's postseason match against them.

The rain probably won't come down until the 4th quarter :(

Last year vs them in the rain in playoffs it was VERY mild

I hope it gets cold enough for snow at least. I'd soooo much prefer snow to rain.

Did a little research on the "defer" issue.
The last time the Patriots won the coin toss and elected to receive? The 2008 season opener against Kansas City — more commonly referred to as the game in which Tom Brady suffered a season-ending knee injury in the first quarter.
