Felger was falling all over himself tonight on the radio predicting a cakewalk for the Patriots against the Colts.

Rochrist noted on another thread that:

Shaugnessy keeps tweeting 'There's no possible way the Colts win this weekend! None! March of the Tomato Cans!'

I am worried. These guys do not have a good track records. You could have made a fortune betting against Felger's recommendations.

Do you ever get that uneasy feeling that the Colt could be this years' version of the 2002 Patriots? No one gives them a shot...they have a hot, young quarterback and a bunch of no-names, good secondary...and a chip on their shoulder....

Just a set up.

If they lose they get to crow about how the Patriots lost against a team that was badly inferior, and if they win they just knocked off another tomato can.

Same old BS we have seen it before.

Ignore the noise.

Mike, even for you this is too much.

If we lose, I can guarantee it won't be because of what they're saying. Why are you giving their words so much power? Who cares what they think might happen on Sunday.

Shank's shtick is so old it's pathetic, why do we, once again, have a thread honoring this bozo's idiocy? I'd give Lady Gaga's football commentary more weight if she ever had any...

The PATS are horrible and will lose this game by at least 40 points.
Our Run game is non existent, Brady is overthrowing the ball, No OL,NO Sacks.... We are screwed, Time to start thinking of next years draft. Time to shore up the OL,DL etc etc...............

I hope this post CTRL+Z all the jinx

Can I join in? Tom Brady should be Garoppolo's backup. Revis is washed up. Browner sucks. Edelman, Amendola, Tyms, and Lafell are a bunch of nobodies. Gronk is nothing compared to Jimmy Graham. Tim Wright has amounted to nothing. Our defense is worse than 2011's. And we absolutely should not have won that game against the Ravens.

This.
Win? And they were right.
Lose? They should have easily won and BB is a fraud and a bum.

Only thing more pathetic than these guys is anyone who sits in anticipation to watch/listen to a show with Shaugnessy and/or Felger.

Their schtick is to be miserable, so if the predict a pats blowout then they get to be miserable cry babies all week even if the Pats win but not by enough.

It's a way to make drama; say something stupid, and when the stupid thing you said doesn't come true act like it's because of the Patriots instead of their own stupidity.

Now that we've used all of our trick plays, how can we possibly win?

Andrew Luck is the greatest quarterback in the league.

How can Revis or anyone else expect to cover TY Hilton?

Sergio Brown will own Gronk?

I'm sorry, I can't keep going.

Couldnt agree more, I mean whats up with BB and the horrible clock management towards the end of the Ratbirds game ? He has grown old and senile , time to bring in new blood , time to let the old bum go. Brady will be the laughing stock of the NFL after this upcoming game against the COLTS who will absolutely demolish the Pats. I have mentally prepared myself for next year.

:D

I'm just surprised with all the crazy fans out there that nobody has taken a run at Shaugnhessy. With the amount of trolling he's done, it's quite surprising. Not that I would advocate such behavior.

Shaugnessy is the poster child for a media member who believes what he says is important. Felger is like his little baby brother, two guys who are absolutely embarrassing.

From Montville, McDonough, Ryan, Gammons, Borges on boxing, Mike Madden, look what we are left with.

If the Pats win you will get two weeks of "But they haven't beaten ANYBODY, Mike!"

Yep. That's part of the set up. The great thing about this seasons schedule was that it was filed with tough match ups throughout it and actually got them ready for the playoff run. They faced a good number of playoff games and only lost to Green Bay, and even the non playoff teams, like the Jets and Buffalo posed some serious problems because of the quality of their D lines, so overall this schedule has probably done more to get them ready for the tourney than any they have faced on a long time. Regardless of what the know nothing's say they face a tough game Sunday because Luck can hang 30 on any team when he's on, and you never know how any final four game it's going to go, as the Ravens and Giants have both shown in Recent Years. If they get by the Colts then either opponent they would face in the Super Bowl Will be Card a major challenge, but one they can definitely handle.

They're such knowledgeable fans. So, they aren't predicting it goes into extra innings?

Good point! I didn't even think of the "if we just downplay the opponent, then they simply beat a 'tomato can'. Now we can beat the drum of BB's team being a fraud that will have the curtain fall on them just as soon as they play a 'real' team".

For all the "thinking" they put in for their schtick, if they just took half that time and put it into real analysis, they could end up actually being semi-respectable. Once semi-respectable they could actually start making a living being something other than court jesters (maybe court jester is a well paying gig?).
