Don't know why I haven't heard more talked about this but the Refs should have called Pass Interference on Torrey Smith on the game sealing pick. Refs did us no favors Saturday

PI calls can go against both teams? Who knew?

In a way, Smith might have done us a favor. Without that contact, there's a chance Harmon's momentum alone doesn't carry him into the end zone, and he has to run it out or get downed at the 1. So thanks Torrey Smith :D

Oh you mean the refs missed what could have been a critical call? Lets be real though, if Harmon drops the ball a flag probably comes in seconds later followed by a referee pow wow to weigh calling the opi vs picking the flag up. From there, who knows ?

I haven't seen this play on all-22, so I'm wondering--where was McCourty on that play? Was Harmon playing single-high?

McCourty was in man coverage on the other side of the field.

please, I was surprised they didn't find some way to call the pats for D-PI based on how those refs were calling things.

Harmon was the single high in Dime coverage. The other 10 were either in the box or in tight man coverage. I think McCourty had the slot on that play.

It was a pretty great display of the free safety's art by Harmon -- quickly reading the whole field before him to figure out where he's needed, taking a perfect angle across the field to meet the ball, and tracking it in the air the whole time so that he ended up essentially playing receiver to Torrey Smith's DB.

I'll admit I was waiting for a flag after that play.

Only I was expecting it to be towards us. Can't trust these refs anymore.

You probably haven't heard more about this because nobody cares. We got the interception that ended the game.

For a change.

Duron Harmon>Asante Samuel

Ok, I guess Wilson was off the LOS and giving help to McCourty in the slot.

Thought the same thing when the played happened

Owen Daniels was getting the double team via Wilson/McCourty I believe. Leaving Harmon in a single high safety look.

Harmon did a good job diagnosing the situation and cheating towards Torrey Smith, soon as Flacco got into the motion he went.

Heh, good find! And all the ravens fans were complaining how Torrey Smith didn't do anything to stop Harmon from a catching that...apparently he did.

I thought Torrey Smith was trying to initiate contact in an attempt for another DPI and Flacco just over threw it.

Listening to Flacco's PC about it he said he saw the safety shading over that way and that's why he threw it...which makes no sense, why would he throw into double coverage if he saw it. Whatever, Ravens are distant history now.

Even if they called OPI, the penalty would have been declined. No way BB gives the ball back to the Ravens instead of having the ball on NE 20.
