We may have seen the last of Manning vs. Brady games

I had started a Thread weeks ago "Is P.Manning Done" He Might be WELL Done.

I think the mistake was changing the offense. He always needed a better run game, but they went straight up Foxball with him in the last regular season games. Now when they fell behind, they didn't have that to fall back on.

I think Peyton will regret going out like this. If you are going to go down, he should have gone down his style. Yeah he probably would have thrown a bunch of pics, and yeah he probably would have still choked, but I still think them changing that offense mid-season wasn't the best move. It's still better to go down swinging, with what got you there in the first place.

He'll retire, pull a Favre, then sign with the Iron Islands Bills and whatever necromancer they have running that place. Toronto Bills: What is dead may never die.

Kind of hope he stays, when Manning is gone it's a sign Brady is nearing the end too.

Respect, but I think that rivalry was so great for the sport and, therefore, I always welcomed it. I think there will be a huge void left when those guys are gone. Who's next? Russell and Kap? Rodgers and Newton? Romo and RGIII? I just look around the league and no rivalry is as intriguing or entertaining, IMHO. Manning v Brady, Brady v Manning . . . that was prime time. It was exciting. Too bad it may be no more with the way Manning is fizzling so quickly. Funny how it was Brady declining . . . *rolls eyes*
Rogers v Garoppolo?

Manning would retire before he goes to another team. I do think he comes back for one more year.

It never felt to me at all (save maybe their first score which was made possible by the RTP call) that the Broncos showed up at all tonight. The game had an almost lethargic feel to it. Very strange. And Manning's throws were so off, so inaccurate, that I was more surprised when he completed one than when he didn't.

It's very true. The Broncos didn't seem hungry, except for Anderson, who plays like a Patriot. After the first drive, they didn't score a TD for the rest of the game. They seem resigned to it all after the game.

Mannings biggest physical issues are certainly injury related. The same injury he sustained that caused him to miss the entire 2011 season.

His arm was never right with Denver, he still made some great throws but we've been seeing the ducks flying around the field for 3 full seasons now. He never fully recovered from those neck issues and the strength he did regain has all but evaporated now.

He might not retire, but he certainly should. He can get it down field but it takes everything he has, he loses control of where its going when he puts his entire body into the distance.

He's as limited as our offense was in recent seasons where we could only attack the middle of the field with any consistency and teams learned to take that away, only our issues weren't physical limitations of Brady, they were personnel issues. Something that could be adjusted and corrected in an offseason.

I struggle to believe that over the next 8 months Manning will build up enough strength in his arm to last time another 550-600 in game passing attempts plus the countless thousands of practice reps.

We've seen the end of Manning, but #18 might still trot out on the field for a team next season, it just won't be the version everyone expects to see on a regular basis.

I just hope that Foxboro doesn't boo Brady at the end like the morons in Denver did to Manning tonight. Sad to see that this could be the end for Manning as his arm looks dead. The rivalry between the QBs brought out the best between them, and there is no current QB rivalry that can come close to replacing it. Can you imagine being the fan base where your last memory is booing the guy responsible for the success you had? Before him, they were near a mediocre team with Tebow at QB. With Manning, they became AFC contenders immediately.

St. Louis makes a lot of sense, they have a defense, money, and a dome. Dont know about the weather though. Maybe a Florida team? Tampa?

To be fair, things are kinda weird with Manning.

I don't recall him getting booed in his last game as a Colt, but that just ended without a proper farewell.

OTOH, the Donkeys only had him for three years, so I can understand it a lot better than if that happens in Foxboro some day.

Some speculation that Talib could get cut.

manning piggybacks off brady in the goat discussion.
he doesn't belong in the same book as brady/montana let alone the same sentence/
