NFL Division Round Playoff games

...I hadn't really seen much of Flacco's pressers, however, I did watch his after the Patriot loss. I now see one reason why this guy can play like he does in big games. He is one seriously cool customer. He comes off as so relaxed that I can see why he can't be rattled no matter the gravity of the situation. There was no whining, no crying, no finger pointing, no BS. He broke the game down fairly IMHO and generally said Patriots are a hard organization to beat, he likes playing the Patriots for the challenge they present, his team made some good plays, the Patriots made good ones too, the Patriots made a few more in the end and earned the victory. I just gained a lot of respect seeing his presser. He's like the Anti Harbaugh....
Saw it and thought the exact same thing.

The highlight of Peytie Pooch's overrated career...

BTW, as an aside.....

If the Peyton Manning we saw in the last half of the season is not because of some injury, the Broncos were 100% to try loading up before Peyton crapped out. They were just one year too late.

Oh, and an oldie, but goodie:

Amazing to me that Peyton has 9 one and dones, and that his team was favored in 8 of them. If that isn't the definition of choke, I don't know what is. I would also say, out of his 13 playoff losses (a record), most of the losses were HIS fault (played poorly).

Personally I dont dislike the guy. He is one of the best. Its the media falling over to make excuses for his every misstep is what gets me. When he throws 5 Tds he is the best ever. When he loses, its his teammates and coaches.
FIFY

I believe it was the 8th game of the season, Julius Thomas caught a touch down pass and was heard remarking "This is so easy. This is so easy"!!! The Broncos downfall began at that very moment.

Against the jets it was after he got a td.

Broncos fans finally realizing John Fox is a terrible coach. I thought they would have had to have a year without Manning to realize it. John Fox using his Superbowl experience 10 years ago to explain why they didn't prepare for the sound in the Superbowl last season shows how terrible of a coach he is. Donkeys fans are finally seeing it.

but really... @Miguel How much will Den lose if they cut manning? Due 19 mill next year...
He has $5 million remaining in prorated signing bonus money left.
His current 2015 cap figure is $21.5 million so the Broncos would gain $16.5 million in cap space if released before his salary becomes fully guaranteed on 4PM March 10.

one of the most overrated players in the league.
on mike and mike a while ago they were talking to cris carter about tight ends and both the mikes were talking about how great gronk is, and carter said julius was amazing. BS...thomas isn't a top 15 TE. put delanie walker in that system and he has better production. julius is a JAG

You were saying, Terrance Knighton?

Is his decline fallout from neck/nerve damage...

Hmmm, didn't think of that. But yes, nerve damage would explain such a drastic decline seemingly within a 2 game span in the middle of the season. [Note: I did not stay at a Holiday Inn Expres... :)]

It may be related to nerve damage but his loss of velocity has been apparent for over a season, I just think defenses were so accustomed to showing him respect and playing soft against him that it took them a long time to realize that he could no longer fire it in if you pressed his receivers and only left him a small window to throw into. I don't know of her will retire but he should, he's done, he will only damage his legacy by trying to continue.

Maybe Rex will bring him to Buffalo, that would be hilarious.

On a related note I have felt for some time that your user name would make an excellent nickname for him.

I watched a lot of Denver games last year and, while Manning did have nice touch on a lot of passes, and threw some beauties down the sidelines, it was also the most overrated season by a QB ever.

It was more overrated then Rodgers 2011 season by miles. The only thing I can say about that was the quality of competition was awful.

Manning was really getting carried by his weapons to 55 TD passes. A countless number of them weren't him. Screen passes that went for 50 yards and TE's and WR's making plays on crossing routes that turned 10 yard passes into 50 yard touchdowns. Manning was along for the ride on a bulk of those stats.

Tom's 50 TD season was a hundred times more impressive, and so was Peyton's own 49 TD season w/ the Colts.

The entire idea that the 2013 Denver offense was the best of all time is really insulting to the game of football given the new rules, the 3 loses, and it basically just being little more than blowing the doors off 4-12 teams who couldn't tackle with bubble screens..

Week 1 v Ravens was 7 or 8 TD passes, and I give him that one, but it was week #1 and the Ravens just looked unprepared to start their season.
