Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reports there's a "pretty good chance" coach John Fox gets fired if the Broncos lose to the Colts on Sunday.

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer had a similar "report" earlier in the morning, but it was extremely flimsy. Per Glazer, "there's a thought if (the Broncos) lose today, could Fox become available? If he is, he shoots to the top of lists." Despite winning the AFC West in each of his four seasons as Denver's coach, Fox has been unable to deliver a championship. The Broncos lost in the Divisional Round in each of 2011 and 2012 before getting destroyed by the Seahawks in the Super Bowl last year. Fox would still be in high demand if he hit the open market.

well Foxs job is safe then

He's not going anywhere. He'll be there after Manning then out 2 years later once he fails spectacularly

I've seen it speculated that it might mean they'd rather keep Gase than Fox.

watch the broncos "win (another) one for john" today

During his weekly segment on Gresh n Zolak, Albert Breer slyly said to watch what happens should Denver lose. He didn't openly declare that Fox could b out but certainly hinted at it

If Broncos lose to the Colts in their own stadium, I wonder if Elway might want to just blow the whole thing up and dump Manning as well to sign all of their young players back.

I don't think that's going to happen. Like others I'm not a Fox fan but who else would you get. I think Elway likes Fox a lot and so does Ellis they allow each other to work together and work out issues better than most teams without egos getting the way. It talked about a lot here.

Keeping Gase makes sense
Very ballsy but good call.
There goes Gase to the Niners theory.
One way to keep talented offensive minds.

I still think Elway has a tough decision to make on Manning. They are writing off his poor play in the last two months on a couple of thigh injuries, but his poor play seems to predate the injuries. I think he could be done and taking a lot of their cap space next year with a ton of free agents to re-sign.

I don't know if dumping Fox is the answer. They may be better off keeping him and dumping Manning. But I doubt that will happen even if he plays like crap again today and the Broncos lose.

If Denver loses then Fox is gone, OK I don't care, Denver is going to lose, I predicted it. Colts win. FOX is available per this threat.

Let's Go Pats

The effects of his injury seems to magically vanish, too, like, as I said elsewhere, the 3rd quarter of their Cincinnati game. Impossible to evaluate an injury from television, but it seems questionable that he sometimes looks like week#3 Manning, then magically becomes awful Manning making awful decisions because of his thigh.

I kind of think he's just hitting that wall.

Any MDs posting here who can explain to us laypersons how Manning's "thigh" injury affects his decision making?

I think Jack Burton may have had an inkling. "It's all in the reflexes."

Could it somehow be related to having his head up his *** ?

I'm no MD, just askin'.

Great movie Kim Cattrall was hawt!
"Would you stop rubbing your body up against mine, because I can't concentrate when you do that."
I only wish...

Watching the Colts vs Broncos game felt like watching a funeral.
