If you were a Ravens fan....

Ravens have very little cash to play with next year. Adding that extra depth will be tough for them. Add to that the years smith and Forsett just had. Will be tough to replicate that. Both past their primes (age wise) for the positions they play.

If I were a Ravens fan I would feel as if that my team choked.

Imagine if what happened to the Birds last night happened to the Pats?

-Brady can't do it in the playoffs anymore
-JMD can't commit to a running game
-BB can't build a playoff defense
-No pass rush
-O-line stinks
-Revis stunk
-Browner gets hurt- pulls a Talib

Home Depot would run out of pitchforks and tiki torches in 10 minutes of opening this morning.

I usually don't respond to silly threads but this one caught my attention.

First off, most raven fans are very proud of our team today and acknowledge that we lost to the better team. New England proved why they are the #1 seed and why Brady and Billicek will go down as the greatest qb/coach combo in history.

The thing that gets me though is how some of you are saying thAt our fans are blaming the refs. Really? I followed the whole game thread yesterday and you guys blamed the refs for everything but the coin toss.
There are even whole threads dedicated to the refs, and your team WON

All fans do it so it's not exclusive to you're guys. I just think it's hypocritical to bring that up.

Anyway, great game, great rivalry, and Godspeed.

This was just Karma. They have been using their "deceptive" PI flag begging schemes for way too long. They attempted it at least twice in the game. And it worked. Sooner or later that luck was about to run out, and it just happened to hit them when it would hurt them most.

I think refs need to start watching out for this, especially players who purposely slow down mid-speed, for the only reason to have the defender bump into him. That should be offensive PI, or illegal contact, especially when it's as obvious as it was last night. In the NBA, charging fouls can go both ways, and this seems like the equivalent of that.

If you were a Ravens fan....it sucks to be you this morning. Balt played a hell of a game but with all the complete crap they talk (fans, team, AND coach), I hold the Ravens on the same level as the New Jersey Jets.

I can tell you what some of them are saying. I live in baltimore and went out to breakfast with my family on purpose this morning wearing all of my patriots stuff. Of course the ratbirds fans starting flapping their gums and I tried talking to them logically (which by the way isn't possible to do to these trashy POS's) and they kept saying the Pats cheated (referring to the Hooman formation). As a high school official I tried to explain it logically and also by rule for them to understand it and they don't even listen. Then they started saying that the ratbirds lost the game, The Pats didn't win it. I just told them that's why noone likes the ratbirds fans because they are sore losers and sore winners. I told them it was a great game and would make them look better if they just said great game and moved on.

Id be in a really bad mood if I was a ravens fan. Might not even be in the mood to watch playoff football today. Also, seems like the ravens only have the pats number when gronk isn't on the field, huh ?

If you're a Ravens fan (urgh) you've got to think long-term. They had a terrible secondary, despite Ozzie's best efforts, yet they still gave the Patriots (the ****ing Patriots!!) a great game. They showed they could score points against a top 10 defense in key moments. And if only they'd had a decent secondary, they could have converted it into a win.

Think of the times we've made the playoffs but knew deep down that we weren't really that good...especially a few years ago when we had an appallingly bad secondary. As soon as we faced a proper team, we just couldn't stop them.

That's the Ravens this year. But they've got a great front office and know what they've got to fix. They'll be back.


In the meantime...GO PATS!!!

So one performance eliminates the numerous great games prior? Manning's choked his entire career and I know you consider him elite. The guy is a great postseason quarterback. I don't know what more he has to do to prove that.

Nobody cares if your proud of your wife beater team. You're all crying about "trick plays" high school players defend. Go talk about the draft or something.

Hey there, great game yesterday. Ravens fan here, yeah disappointed by not heart broken. never felt comfortable with the leads yesterday knowing our secondary. Actually pretty proud of our performance. Flacco had a great game with a few miscues, but the guys human and was bound to throw an INT at some point, or two. I think what yesterday did for ravens fans was show that we were a worthy playoff opponent to whom ever we played even though we backed into the playoff with no one giving us a chance against PITT or the PATS. I think this is becoming the new playoff rivallry that everyone loves to see. I thought it was a clean game and no excuses from me, you guys earned it. I forsee the Ravens in the off season building the defense to try stop you guys going all in on defensive secondary, at least I would. I expect to be playing the Pats again this time next year, same place same time. Good luck next week, hope to see you guys against SEA in the SB.

I didn't think Flacco was elite before last nights game.

I do not think P. Manning has choked his entire career. He has Super Bowls and playoff wins. He also has a ton of one n dones and INTs.

Terry Bradshaw is a great postseason QB but I do not consider him elite either.
