Harbaugh keeps using the word "DECEPTION" during his Press conference

At least he sticks with his team, unlike certain siblings of his.

It wasn't deception. It did create confusion, just like the up tempo offense creates confusion and prevents teams from substituting, putting more pressure on the opposing defense. It put the onus on the Ravens to quickly identify the inactive man and adjust. They obviously weren't prepared for that, and didn't adjust well.

Its no different than forcing the offense to call a time out if they see an unfamiliar defensive alignment.

Flea Flickers are deceptive.

How was Amendola so wide open?

It reminded me a bit of the traditional hurry-up offense, before the league imposed the rule that the referee must be behind the QB before the offense can snap the football. Either way, the goal is to catch the defense off-guard in having too little time to react.

Nothing about what the NEP performed was wrong, but that doesn't mean it isn't something the league decides to prevent going forward. With the above hurry-up-offense rule, the league imposed the limitation as to how much offenses can impair defenses' reactions. It's all in the vein of engineering balance via rule-making. We can complain about that, but at least it's an orderly rule-making process (but that's another story).

Teams should have suspected the Patriots, having been subjected to the overload three times this season would come up with a counter (or two). The whole "good at adjustments" meme only having been mentioned I dunno, four or five trillion times since 2001.

The league already doesn't call offensive holding (barely at all) anymore except on kickoff and punts; add in the supposed "emphasis on OPI" that has likewise disappeared and how much more "balance" is this league going to give the offensive side of the ball?

Those that enjoy defense need to lobby hard for defensive stats to count more in fantasy football leagues point wise...only &^%$# way the league is going to start balancing offensive and defensive football again on the field....sad to say.

What a pathetic loser. Phantom calls against the Pats cost them at least 10 points and he is complaining about something legal.

I've seen the double pass referred as a "flea flicker" several times here and in the media That play was a "double pass". A "flea flicker" is when the QB hands of to a RB, before the RB reaches the LOS he turns and laterals back to the QB, and teh QB throws a pass.

Not trying to be a nit picker, but thought it would be informative to call it the right play.

Any body else heard that SOB? He said no one has ever seen such a thing in the history of this game, when asked about the penalty in the fits half where he went yelling onto the field ..
Harbaugh is such a crybaby. It is embarrassing and takes credit away from a great game. It's not BB's fault that his team was better prepared.

How about JH talks about all the flags his team gets by throwing lame ducks for PI, holding not called on the line, and the dirty plays all game (kneeing Tom Brady)

This is actually the issue. One team prioritizes intelligence and the other aggression. Both approaches can be successful, but one has the unfortunate side effect of leaving your team exposed to losing games on account of trick plays and losing players to domestic abuse issues.

And, the team that emphasizes aggression acts as if a team that beats them using other means is somehow lesser. Typical bully mentality.

So I guess this is something even high schools run.

Ravens whining about cheating because they weren't prepared for a play 15 years olds use

It absolutely was deception. But football is a game if deception. Don't see the problem. Does he hate snap counts, pa, zone blitz, and draw too? All og those are meant to fool the opponenet

Yeah, and Tim the Dink Fox has the balls to say on Channel 7 post game the Pats were fortunate to win.His exact words.

Separated at birth. Tim Fox and Tommy Lee Jones.

Harbaugh's frustrated rankings remind me of the comments some of the Pittsburgh Steelers made after the Patriots beat them in one of the championship games. I recall them saying somehow it wasn't a real win because most of the scoring came on special teams?? As if that's not part of the total team??

By throwing that word "deception" out there, now the national media is all over the "Patriots cheated again". For a Super Bowl winning coach like Harbaugh to throw that out there as an excuse for losing is deception on his part. He is deceiving the media on focusing blame for his teams loss off where the focus should be. Blowing two 14 point leads.
He had (in his words) the "best QB in the game", he had the ball, he had 5 minutes left and he had two timeouts to drive and score and win the game. They couldn't do it. And why they couldn't do that (Patriots defense) is what the national media should be talking about, not a few plays in the middle of the game.

Not surprising, but Florio is really running this with his typical anti-Patriot agenda, and duplicitous method. Every couple of hours he writes a post with tabloid sensational headlines, implying another Patriot spygate like conspiracy. Then burying at the end of the article he covers his butt by adding something to the effect of, "but it's probably legal and the Pats were just being smart,"

The is a word for some someone who instigates issues when he knows there are none. I can't quite get it. Maybe someone can help.
