The Game Day thread Geeeeez

I think people just react different. I mean, I agree it's a bit annoying to see some Pats fans giving up on the game when there are still 3 quarters left to be played, but I can understand the frustration too. We invest a lot of time and heart into the game, especially this one tonight, after two weeks of waiting and all the anxiety built up. There's a lot of passion involved and I think some people just deal with it differently, we can't expect everyone to react the same way. That's why I really like the game day threads, even though some messages annoy me a little bit, I enjoy reading all the different reactions. It kinda makes everything more special in the end.

Its too bad, it used to be good discussing what was going on during the game with only a few morons here and there, at some point it just got to be too many of them and its not worth reading 10 negative posts to find one good post.

Game thread or psych ward? Sometimes it's hard to tell.

I enjoy it. Jets fans making accounts so they can cross dress as Pats fans is funny stuff. Watching fans lose their cool is entertaining and most of us are sane enough to know they are never truly out of it. Watching them dwindle off as the Patriots edge closer and closer and then take the lead is also very gratifying. Or the I knew we had them the whole time crowd after they just called for BB firing or a time to rebuild comment is laughable.

I didn't go into the game thread. The thread about "On to Baltimore" is one that should embarrass the hell out of a bunch of homers, though.

Doubt it, because unlike certain people, the homers make gameday predictions in passing, instead of fighting tooth and nail for opinions that are proven wrong, before doubling or tripling down on them.

How you like Collins almost getting that pick and stopping that TD pass?

Pretty freaking sweet for a linebacker.

Ignore the noise. Smoe people are just like that. It's called catastraphizing. Some of them make me laugh hard like when people get all fired up about the coin toss.

We didn't get the right side of a metal coin! All is lost! Abandon ship! Run to the hills! Every man for himself!

Few of the people that stated we would blow the Ravens out have stepped forward and said, "I ****ed up". I know you did but I can't think of anyone else.

Yup. I was wrong.

I almost made about four posts about it tops.

Was a little busy defending Brady from trade talks last week.

Lording it over the homers after a hard-fought heart-pounding win.

Keep staying classy Deus.

It's all heat of the moment stuff.
Forums are for enrichment and fun anyway. Nobody here has a degree in football debate or analysis.

I think I predicted like 41-20something in the predict the score thread so I'll call myself out on that one. Clearly I was wrong.

I enjoy the Game Day thread overall, you just have to learn to see the difference between a truly upset fan and an outright troll.

I saw @pork3 post "season over" like once every single page. It's ridiculous. But you know it's trolling. It's like James Franco said to Kim Jong Un: "They hate us 'cause they ain't us."

I think its been about 2 years since I read a game day thread, at least a full year, best decision I ever made.

The 3-4 hours during gametime I only have twitter open on my phone, I catch up on the forums later in the night.

I love the gameday thread. No one else I know likes the Pats so I like watching with other fans. Yes there are overreactions (I've been guilty though I've never declared the season over or said someone should be fired). It's really no different than yelling out at your tv when watching the game except you're writing what you're yelling. There are many ups and downs but its all in good fun. You really cant take it seriously.

Damn did we lose?

Those threads are useless for anything but tweaking people who are having emotional babby meltdowns.

I flipped the **** out a few times too but I had the goddamn common courtesy to do it in my living room and not throw a temper tantrum on the internet too.

I stayed out this week until after the game... at first I thought I might as well go on and talk people down from the ledge when it was 14-0, but then I thought nahhhhh. Gotta stick to the couch and watch the comeback... then same thing at 28-14...

We've been coming back from behind all season long and that is what I LOVE about this year's team, as I have said many times... the realization that nobody will punk us if we don't let them.

Like every year's narrative, this one is only true until it's not. I would LOVE to see this team win it all. This is the anti-2007 squad... all they do is win. (In 2007 all they did was win, set records, get caught up in perfection...)

Much more like the SB teams.
