OFFICIAL POST-GAME THREAD - PATS v. Ravens

All due credit to Flacco and that running back they got on waivers, but the defense sucked out loud the first half. What was that?

Oh well, really like our championship teams, always have to make it tough.

Great games Amendola, Chung, Hooman. Nice spot for the Edelman pass. Great 2nd half effort by the defense, stayed solid despite whatever clueless periods they started with.

Agreed with the hurry up, no run 2nd half, what would be the point of establishing the run by then, they desperately needed the points and to attack the weakness of the D.

Don't know what you did for two weeks guys, but could you stop sleepwalking before the 2nd half next game? *reaches for the nitroglycerin*

It really was an incomplete pass, I think. (A feeble excuse for a pass attempt is still a pass attempt, even though the Tuck Rule is no longer on the books.) But it was still an impactful play, just like batting down a pass at the line of scrimmage would have been.
No, actually, it wasn't an incomplete pass. Why? Because Flacco had brought the ball down and actually had both hands on it when it got knocked out.

Again, making sh!t up.. Gotta love people like yourself who don't know what you are talking about. Flacco didn't have 15 seconds to pass every dropback..

People like yourself who have to exaggerate to no end to make a point are worthless in life.

It's called hyperbole, but QB's do tend to have a long time in the pocket against the Pats.

Here's a question:

How good do you think Chandler Jones is? Top 10 player? Top 15?

Other pass rushers in the NFL still get pressures/sacks despite getting chipped just like Jones does.

If we do get them the run D definitely needs to tighten the hell up or Anderson is going to run all over us
Actually, Balt did a great job with creating space in their run game. I think Den have a harder time taking advantage of what Balt did in the run game tonight. Their rush attempts outside is slower developing and they run inside more. Balt was doing a great job getting outside quick and minimizing the inside pursuit.
IMO, we will have an easier time contains Den run game.

4 runs in the 2nd half...one a Brady sneak and 3 kneel downs. Our game plan was to pass, pass ,pass against the Ravens green secondary. It got enough points to win the game. The rest of the stuff is going to make for tremendous gnashing of teeth and wailing all week but it's the PLAYOFFS. Just win baby.

I will say this. I'll never say we're gonna blow the Ravens out ever again. They just always show up.

They played weak teams all year and snuck into the play offs and I just thought the talent gap was way in our favor this time. Flacco shows up, Ravens show up.

The Pats had an eligible receiver lining up as an in eligible WR, because he was on the line and covered (had another eligible WR on the line outside of him).

That receiver was reporting to the ref, the same way an in eligible play would. Harbaugh was crying that Brady was bringing them to the line too fast and they couldn't identify who the ineligibly, eligible receiver was.

I guess the ref announcing who it was, wasn't good enough for them. LOL, so basically the pats made the Ravens do math and they flunked it!

He propelled the ball forward. That's called a pass.

A pass that lame would often be called intentional grounding, but he was under such duress that intent was a little hard to infer from his actions; also, I don't recall whether he was outside the tackles at the time anyway.

And we are better than the refs
There were certainly some injustices. I think the obschene flag on Revis will pay dividends later in the playoffs.

Great thanks! Loved that when the fans started singing along at the end.

That was amazing.

70,000 very anxious people trying to relieve the tension.

Good karma in the stadium.

Yeah. Harbaugh said he will talk to NFL about this in his post-game conference.

Thankfully we had the talent to go over the edge this time despite them showing up.

Harbaugh is a great coach. Nobody says that excludes him from being a world class azzole. He's always been the biggest jerk in the room, win or lose.

He wasnt, but it landed at the feet of the RB, so it wouldn't be grounding.

Ahem… The game was never in doubt. However I feel the strong need for a very stiff drink right now.
Craziest statement of the night! The fame was HILLY in doubt twice.

Bro .. Vincent Wilfork .. Were you present .. Saw him luck into a few tackles down 10 yards from line of scrimmage ..
