OFFICIAL POST-GAME THREAD - PATS v. Ravens

I've seen big comebacks but I'm not sure if they have ever in their history come back from 14 point deficits in each half.

Sub par defense from both teams aside this game ranks as a classic in my book. One of the most exciting I've ever seen and to have it in the playoffs is even more special.

And now we wait. I hope the Broncos are next. Everyone is saying they'd rather face Luck than Manning, but I disagree. Brady always shows up Manning and there is no indication to think things would be different now.
The next opponent that would approximate being as tough a Baltimore, imho, would be Seattle.

You know good and well that Don Shula is puking his guts out knowing that Belichick has always been the better coach. Shula isn't worthy to shine Bill's shoes.

If we do get them the run D definitely needs to tighten the hell up or Anderson is going to run all over us

I bet they would have preferred to hold onto that play for next week or dare I say the game after that.

On the plus side, it should loosen defenses against swing pass catch-and-runs.

So I think I had a heart attack or 5 during that game. Survive and advance is the name of the game this time of year. And iron strengthens iron, a tough game like that will only make us stronger next week.

Completely agree. Invisible for the most part all game. I keep hearing all the hype around him how he's going to become a dominant pass rusher and he's completely average. Has he ever made an impactful play against a good opponent in crunch time? I can't think of any.
I read uneducated comments like yours and it's clear you don't know what you're talking about. You think that "impactful plays" only result in sacks. How about against the run where Chandler's play tonight helped slow down Forsett later in the game..

Since you missed it, he and Ninkovich has numerous pressures on Flacco tonight, forcing him out of the pocket.. But yeah. You're right.. That's not impactful.. Neither was him knocking the ball out of Flacco's hand tonight and them calling it an incomplete pass when it was really a fumble..

Can anyone tell me what song the fans were singing along to on that Ravens last drive?

Maybe I'm missing something because I was under the impression that Jones is mediocre against the run and teams prefer to run to his side...
Overall, I think he holds the edge well and does a nice job on backside pursuit.

I'd would need to watch tonight's game again but my initial reaction was that he was substandard in the first half but was much more active in the pass/run in the second half.

I will die much much earlier than expected thanks to that game, and it was only the DIVISIONALS! SHEESH!

Brady won the game for us. If it wasn't for his brilliance we lose. He wouldn't give up. He was accurate, smart and the Ravens couldn't stop him. Defense also made plays at the end to win. This is what championship football looks like. Playmakers makin plays when needed. Solder, vollmer and Kline were awesome this game. Suggs and dumervill are myths after this performance.

I don't think he's fully recovered and I don't think he will be the rest of the season. He has been a much different player since the injury.

I also think Chandler isn't all the way back. He def lost some weight while he was away, and may effect his ability to anchor against the run

Would have liked a less stressful birthday but it sure does beat the last time these 2 played on the 10th Jan!

That Brady to LaFell pass was a thing of beauty and a heads up play by McCourty to knock the ball out of the end zone.

Happy Birthday!!

BTW - Anyone see Edelman jawing at Flacco from the sidelines after the Harmon interception?? I loved it..

The Outfield - - I Don't Want to Lose Your Love Tonight

Peyton Manning was 100% correct. Brady answers the bell.

We got the win against an always tough opponent and in improbable fashion.

-Revis played very mediocrely
-Defense blew a lot of assignments
-Brady got hit...a lot
-0 running game and the Ravens ran at will
-Flacco came out hot spreading the gall to everyone
-a terrible wasted opportunity before half gives the Ravens all of the momentum
-Refs **** the bed
-Pats but the ball on the ground multiple times.
-Pats fell behind 14-0

If you told me all of that happened, I'd tell you the Pats got embarrassed again. Brady, Collins and the safeties stepped up when needed. Throw that in with Amendola continuing his emergence and Gronk being Gronk and we get out with a Win. This is probably my favorite Pats win since the Chargers divisional game.
