I saw that earlier today and couldn't stop laughing.

Seriously hope there is video of that!

Was he running around yelling "My name Dikembe!"?

Best potential juror release ever.

I remember growing a big ass beard for about a month or two. My plan was to look like a homeless guy. No idea if it would have worked.

Fortunately my service was no longer needed by the time the selection date came for me.

Don't they send you like a questionnaire? If you say you are racist ect ....don't they have to skip over you?

I have never been picked knock on wood.

Just say you have cops in the family

Please tell me someone gets the reference of Tina Fey on 30 Rock showing up to Jury analysis in a Leia outfit and calling herself a hologram.

Didn't get any questionnaire up here in Canada. I was just told to call a number the day before and an automated message would tell me if I need to attend the jury selection or if it was cancelled. It was cancelled. That is all I know.

I was about the last person selected for a jury trial. Shortly before me, a guy walked up for a quick interview (do you work for law enforcement, etc.). A short conversation later, he turned towards the entrance and yelled a very loud and proud "YEEEAAAHHH!!!!" with his hands up in excitement as he walked through the seats to get to the exit.

Once we went to the jury room to wait for the trial to start, the judge came out shortly after to explain the defendant plead guilty to selling drugs in a school zone and we were free to go, and sincerely thanked us for taking the time as opposed to that guy.

The weirdest thing was the prosecutor (female, late twenties / early thirties) turning to face me, smiling at me and giving me eyes several times in a span of a couple of minutes like I was a famous movie star, and I was about 23 with lots of muscle at the time. It was for the couple of minutes after being selected before we went to the jury room to wait for the trial to start. I was looking forward to giving an impartial opinion based on the evidence and didn't appreciate that at all.

I must be one of the few who doesn't mind jury duty.. What's funny is that, except for NC where I wasn't there long enough, I've received a jury summons.. And that includes when I was going to school in Boston and got summoned by the Feds and Suffolk County Superior Court.. I was excused by the Feds because I had my NH license and they were looking for only Mass Citizens..

Cops and lawyers. Defense won't want you if you have cops, and prosecution won't want you if you have lawyers. For me it's true, luckily.

Pretty much the same process here in the states. I think you fill out the questionnaire once you receive the message telling you to show up. In other words, when you're at the physical location.
