Maybe they ought to change the name from Charm City to Wimp City

Before you go reaching for Occam's Razor, you may want to look into Tsoukalos's work. Some of the things he found in South America make the Great Pyramids look both crude and young.

I tried looking into Tsoukalos's work but could find nothing of his in peer-reviewed scientific journals online.

I think I will reach for Occam's Razor after all.

Clever and inventive sure. But the theory arises because they built the pyramids to 1 inch tolerances or whatever. Lined up perfectly with solar phenomena etc. Things that would seem hard to modern day man even with computers.

The fact that had the same dna, not sure why that would be relevant. They did but so what?

Observation and math (and the intelligence to use them) are all you need to do those things. Computers not required.

Lol so this thread has been hijacked in 3 directions at once - snow & strip clubs in Florida, ancient aliens, and uncovering a Jets troll.

Maybe Tsoukalos is right, maybe he is not. But the sciences (specifically the scientific method) seemingly do not agree with him.

You're boring me.

Even a homer must admire the simplicity and economy of "j e t s jets jets jets." Say it over and over to yourself. Probably more creative than "progressive music".

You must love disco.

Clearly, a conspiracy orchestrated by alien astronauts. Or perhaps this is what happens when Patsfans posters have too much (brian) time between Patriots games. ;)

"Aw gosh, I was just kidding." Yeah, that's what I thought you might say. Your cover has been blown, own up to it and stop "whining."

Nice work, Tunie - - aside from the weird and consistent history of Tannehill/Dolphin slurpings, this fellow certainly has an odd outlook on Patriots game predictions this year:

9/27/14: "31-14 chief es. Hope I'm wrong."

10/5/14: "35 to 17 bungles win"

10/12/14: "Bills 28 Pats 14 hope I'm wrong!"

10/25/14: "Bears 31 Pats 18"

10/27/14: (In a thread titled "Your message to the Broncos") "Please don't hurt us?"

10/30/14: Denver 38 pats 21. Hope I'm wrong!"

11/13/14: "Colts 35 - Pats 21"

Fortunately for us all, he's always wrong. Except the Chiefs I guess :(

You're missing the point. He's not even an Antrhopologist, and his degree isn't even science related. It is also worth noting that in anthropology there are huge gaps of information, and a large part of the discipline is trying to logically fill in those gaps.

Tsoukalos doesn't say there definitely was alien intervention in human development. He brings it up as a possibility in the absence of evidence of technology that would make some of these achievements possible. I'm not sure how wacky he thinks the possibility of alien intervention is, but he's admitted that his primary goal is to generate a discussion to delve deeper into how stone age man could do things that would be extremely difficult with today's technology. Most of Tsoukalos's work, outside of the sillyness you see on the History Channel, is about finding and preserving evidence about ancient man's achievements.

I don't subscribe to the theory that aliens manipulated human development. That said, I applaud any discussion that seeks to deepen our understanding of ancient man. The more we understand where we came from, the more we can begin to understand ourselves.

Well he did have the Pats beating the Jets by a LOT both times, so combined with his Tannehill love affair, I'm guessing he bleeds orange and teal. :D

Interesting. So all his Jets trolling is just a front for being a Phins fan?

The signature is a bit of a giveaway as well.

Patting him/herself on the back in a passive-aggressive manner on every post for the outcome of the Patriots' worst game of the year.

Winner of game 4 2014 "guess the score" contest.

After bumping a few lines of snow outside a Florida strip club, I thought I saw a UFO, but it turned out
to be just a fat dude in a Jets jersey.

In south Florida it got down in the high 50s last night.

I had to shut the windows.

A few more days of this, highs only 70, I might need to find a long-sleeved shirt.

That's all I got....

My brother moved to Florida 40 years ago. I remember calling him once at Christmas time, thinking that he'd be missing the snow and I could get in a shot or two. His quick response to me was "yeah, I hate Christmas shopping in shorts." That was the last time I tried that one on him.
